Positive experience
During the past 10 years of working with Pet-First (now MetLife), I have had good service for my pets (3 West Highland Terriers). I find their customer service team especially helpful. Please keep up the good work and don't fall into such cost savings for your organization that you go the way of many healthcare (pet and human) companies today. Thank you and we look forward to continued positive support with our pet.

Simple and easy.
I have only enrolled. I have not needed to use it yet. So this review is strictly on the enrollment process. Information was easy to understand and enrollment was very simple as well. I found Spot to have the best balance of cost vs benefits

No sense of responsability and MEDIOCRE customer service
This company has been OK (no claims so far) until we had to update our credit card expiration date. After calling EACH month for FOUR months in a row because of payment issues, it appears that their system is unable to process credit card update!!!! Each month, i get messages from them threating to end the policy because the payment does not go through and each month i call back to do the payment with the exact same card that is on file and it goes perfectly fine. Customer service basically said there is no solution and they are looking into it but I, as a customer, have to provide them with another payment method and there is nothing they can do on their end. I disagree because ALL my bills, more than 10, go through the same card with automatic billing without any issue and I am not going to open another card just for Trupanion. I was then advised that I can end my policy at any time, which basically means, Trupanion doesn't care if I stay or not as customer. I had requested multiple times to speak with a supervisor but no one is available and I will only be called back in a week. I have not had to put in a claim but and honestly this whole incident does not inspire any trust in me. Trupanion does not have a sens of responsability toward their customers and I am definitely changing insurer for my dog.

Beware of Trupanion
1st question when you're just about to write a review is . . . . "What went wrong this time"? This introduction alone is setting the alarm bells ringing, loudly!!! When we acquired our beloved exotic short hair cat from the cattery, Trupanion ia already in place as the insurance provider of the cattery and suggested that we just carry on with the policy and we did, it'll be 2 yrs in July 2023. During the first claim, we were told that the deductible must be met first, prior to any claim being paid. So far, 4 claims have been filed, most recent claim dated 02/08/23. Guess what, the same excuse, the deductible must be met first. This company so eager to take their monthly premium promptly out of your bank account but when it's time to make a claim, they will always have an excuse not to make a payout. They even make their own diagnosis so as not to be related to the previous claim. I've been around the block God knows how many times to realize that the insurance industry is the oldest scam in the world. We're done with this company and exploring other pet insurance company that are honest and genuine. WARNING: Stay away from Trupanion.

I had a great experience with the representative I spoke to. She was very helpful in setting up my other dog’s policy and made the process quick and painless. She clearly outlined how much it would cost me for pet insurance of 2 animals and what my options were. I highly recommend ManyPets!
