Trupanion is a total scam!
Trupanion is a total scam!! Buyer beware!! Paid premiums for 2 years for 2 dogs (nearly $3,000). In that time frame I had 2 incidents where one of my dogs needed a vet. First visit was partially covered (covered 40% after the deductible and what they deemed "not covered" was deducted, $378 paid out). Second trip, they provided me a list of everything not covered which was basically the entire bill (they paid $9.93 on a $480 bill). After a lengthly conversation they said I should go after the drug company because their preventative meds didn't work. They are experts in denying claims and everything is written off as pre-existing, preventative, or not covered. Considering they increased my premiums by nearly $25 per dog after the first year (only had one claim at that point), seems that it's more prudent to take those premiums and put them into a savings account. This is exactly what I'm doing and I've already accumulated a nice stash. Best part is, if I need it to pay a vet bill, I won't be DENIED!

I am very unhappy with you guys. I was paying $150 each month for my dogs insurance and you never cover anything for us I won’t recommend you guys to anybody else One of the worst insurance company ever That’s why I decided to cancel my insurance

I have registered plan for my new pet before 1 week.But it get cancelled.As usual the pet insurance is bought before the pet arrival.And no body no terms told me can not regist before the pet arrival when I registered manypet.And I don't know why when My pet is come，the deductible and reimbursement is no longer 90% and $250！

My 13 year old boxer Mocha
I have an 13 year old Boxer and in the last the 8 months her health declined and I wanted the best care possible. It was nice to know I had the insurance to cover her needed care. On 2/17/2023 I had to make the awful decision, even part of that was covered. I can't thank you enough for your support. If and when I get another dog, Trupanion will be my first call.
