Wish I’d have done it sooner.
Well worth the money, and the claim process is fairly easy, especially after the first time. Just make sure you get a good itemized bill to submit, either way what little trouble I had to start with was easily worked through. Since then it has been a breeze submitting claims through the app.

Sharria in customer service is wonderful
Sharria in customer service answered all my questions and clarified some frustrations I was experiencing with the amount of money I am paying for my dog Nacho’s medical coverage versus the amount I am being reimbursed. I pay a hefty monthly premium and it sometimes feels like I never get reimbursed because of my dogs medical exclusions. Sharia was kind and patient with me.

Longer waiting period for enrolling on Sundays/Holidays
Used to be really good but now I am getting really frustrated. I signed my new dog up on 1/15/23, which was a Sunday night and Monday was MLK Jr day. There must have bee. Some issue or delay with her coverage going into effect because they claim her enrollment date was 1/17/23. That is impossible as my mom is the primary with the password and due to work was out of town and unreachable starting g 1/16/23. I didn’t realize it until recently because I was preparing to use my coverage for the new dog, and learned that, not only will it might not be covered (only way is if it is for an accident), but they refuse to backdate her enrollment to the correct date. I never would have risked doing the pre-surgical panel beige her spay, which is 22 days out, before the waiting period is over because that would be stupidest. The vet did the panel on 2/15/23. They are saying some of the results could declare certain things pre-existing, again from an error on their end. I have offered to email over proof, and they refuse to work with me and accept anything. They will not own up to their mistakes. On top of that, they are claiming dental procedures, such as extractions, will not be covered because her records from before I adopted her said dental disease, even if she has a dental and the disease goes away, it will always be pre-existing. It’s not right to consider something pre-existing on an now 10 month old puppy before I got the dog. If they were not the only ones to be able to pay the vet directly, I would cancel my plan. Used to be easy to work with, but they have become difficult recently.

Unhelpful Services
My experience with Embrace started off well, with understanding and helpful customer service representatives and informative welcome packets. However, it quickly turned sour as my first claim took two months to process and then was denied. My claim was for a visit where my pet had not received a diagnosis at all, her tests came back negative and the reason for her illness remains unclear. Embrace, however, decided that because she had presented similar symptoms before my policy started, she is not eligible for reimbursement anytime these symptoms are present. I was paid $6 of an $840 claim because Embrace certified that *symptoms* were enough to confirm a preexisting condition that she was never diagnosed for by a licensed medical practitioner. After multiple calls and emails asking to appeal this decision Embrace closed my claim without further inquiry. I am extremely unhappy with their services and will not be returning after my first year's policy is complete.

I have only been with Trupanion for one year and they raised my monthly payments another 40 dollars plus tax a month, I have never put a claim in, I am definitely looking for another company I suggest other people To rethink before joining them

Grateful for Healthy Paws seamless…
Grateful for Healthy Paws seamless claims process and helping to answer questions since having insurance 4-years. Last week, my beloved required surgery and the claim was processed and deposited within 24-hours, no questions asked. it allowed me to focus on her and not the insurance! Thank you and so grateful.
