Well I dislike the fact they do not…
Well I dislike the fact they do not disclose the fact that you cannot amend some of your coverage after you purchase the base insurance for your pet after the fact. You have to wait a whole year in order to do that. Now I cannot get preventative measures done for my dog such as vaccines, anti-parasitical medicines reimbursed. I have to pay out of pocket

This company is horrible
This company is horrible. The going rate for Embrace cat insurance is $15 - 25. They have the nerve to charge $72/mo. for one kitty! If you cancel, any treatments that they have sporadically paid for will then become pre-existing conditions that the next insurance company does not have to cover! Once there is a condition the pet has, they will refer to that condition and refuse to pay for things like cancer treatment, because there may be a “chance” the kitty’s condition caused the cancer or what ever the symptoms are. This is a legal scam that needs to be addressed, along with the obvious price gouging during a Pandemic. Insurance Commissioner, here I come. This challenge has been ongoing for three years of overpriced premiums and faulty claims copying equipment. Their equipment requires the processors to read blurry documents uploaded to their site unless the customer has the claim info professionally emailed. This costs more money!

If it were possible I would give negative stars. Total scam! Deny everything as pre- existing. Buyer beware. Save the money you would pay on your premiums. Put it into an investment ( money market is paying 4.66 % right now! ) save it for your future pet care. That way these scam artists won’t take your money and then deny service for your precious fur babies.

I have had trupanion for my cat for 15 years…
I have had trupanion for my cat since he was a kitten. Granted I did not use it much until the last 2 1/2 years since he is now 15 and suffering from kidney issues. The company has consistently paid at least 80% of every big bill leaving me to pay the much lesser sum. My bill is settled before I leave the vet. I have been more than satisfied with TruPanion and highly recommend them. You have to start when your pet is young and not when you have a big bill to pay. I have had other pet insurance and TruPanion is the very best.

Company absolutely is horrible to deal with. It took me months to get contact to submit claim. Worst pet insurance company I have ever dealt with!!!!!! Plus, they have consistently raised rates by double digit percentage points yearly though having never previously filed a claim.
