Fetch falls short- BEWARE!

When Fetch was Petplan- it was amazing, now Fetch has fallen short in my books. My dog (accident prone) has had a handful of insurance claims (when Fetch was still Petplan)- with the last claim being in 2019. My monthly premium went up- totally fair. Today, over three years later I go to submit a claim and see my deductible is now $750 (was $200 with Petplan), with my claim being $600 and my deductible being so high it covers nothing. Fetch has also decided to only cover 70% where as Petplan covered 80%. My dog was attacked and lost half his ear- a complete freak accident - THE REASON WE GET INSURANCE for our pets. When calling and speaking to a representative I was told because of my claim activity they had to pay out over 3% above my premiums and deductibles (over three years ago)… is that not the intent of insurance? With my monthly premiums being $32 x12 months, x3 years, that’s roughly $1100 Fetch has in their pockets and will not be covering any part of my first claim in over three years. Just food for thought. Yes, I should have carefully read the documents when Fetch took over Petplan- however we were assured that nothing would change and coverage would remain the same. Policy holders ensure you are fully reading your new/adjusted contracts with Fetch. Will be switching to a new company without a doubt. Sad to see Petplan go through so many changes yearly with new underwriters etc. I whole heartedly support pet insurance to help provide the best care for our animals, however very disappointed with Fetch.

A good insurance plan

The ASPCA Pet Health Insurance seemed to offer the best overall coverage and price to meet my needs. I liked the comparisons to other insurance coverages and felt that the ASPCA insurance plan offered the best options.

I'm so happy I purchased this insurance…

I'm so happy I purchased this insurance for my kittens! I wasn't going to...I though eh, they are kittens, I won't have many vet bills. One of my kittens developed high liver enzymes and has had many vet visits and big bills trying to figure it out. Another one developed diarrhea and is undergoing tests. For my last claim, I submitted my bill and it was approved in 2 hours! I get direct deposit the next day, so I can pay off my credit card that I used to charge the bill before it's even due.

This company started off by being the…

This company started off by being the cheapest option for me. I was happy. A year later when I had to renew my policy, prices jumped from $3500 a year to $7000 a year. After editing my policy I got it down to around $5000 a year. Now the website will not allow me to get full coverage on my main vehicle. I edit policy to select collision and comprehensive and that all works until I update my policy. Then it’s back to where I was. As soon as my policy is over, I’ll be switching back to a more trustable company unless they can call me up and fix things properly.

When I check the status of my pets…status of account

When I check the status of my pets account, it shows "canceled." The next day, the account is active and current. This does not make me feel very confident about the service.

Thank God I enrolled my beloved Nahla…

Thank God I enrolled my beloved Nahla (and my other 5 babies) with Healthy Paws Insurance, she is only 5 years old and recently diagnosed with diabetes 🥺 until now between her emergency hospitalization, follow ups and oftalmologist visits (she lost her vision very quickly) due her diabetes we’re at over $4000 in medical bills, but thank God Healthy Paws had covered 90% of it, no questions ask and quickly reimbursement. Thank you Healthy Paws for being there for my little Nahla.
