Easy to sign up. Great price. Haven’t had to use the insurance yet (thank goodness), but glad to know it’s there if I do.

Customer service
After dealing with a different pet insurance company that had terrible customer service, I really appreciate how fast the ASPCA returns emails, and the wait time on the phone is not long.

Do not buy - they will rip you off
I would not recommend them. We had 3 of our dogs insured by them. One of our dogs was on their policy from 2 1/2 years old. The premiums were reasonable until he was 8 years old. He had a bout of Mast Cell cancer which was treated and we got reimbursed without complications. Upon renewal, the premiums suddenly jumped from $1,500 per year to $3,500 per year. A year later, we just got the renewal letter and they now want $4,500 a year - that is $375 a month! It is a complete rip-off and basically tells you that they are cheap and make profits when the dogs are young and no claims are made, but the moment the dogs get old they jack up the prices when you really need them. So, you are left with three choices: 1 - Cancel the insurance and pay out of pocket (of course all the money you already gave the insurance over the years is lost) 2 - Continue to pay the insurance for your peace of mind, especially now that our dog has pre-existing conditions 3 - Find another carrier, and carefully research their pre-existing condition clause. It was very stressful and took lot of time to research. We opted for #3. Shame on you, Fetch by The Dodo, previously known as Pet Plan. I have sent in my cancellation notice today for all 3 dogs we had under your care.

Easy to use website. Rates seem to be reasonable. Have not filed a claim yet so cannot comment on that part of the insurance policy.

I've been using Healthy Paws for my dog…
I've been using Healthy Paws for my dog for the last few years. They are pretty quick to review and process claims. As long as the proper documents are provided with each claim, there are no surprises. Having Healthy Paws adds another layer of comfort, knowing that vet bills are covered.
