The very best!
We have had Trupanion as an insurance provider for our Wheaten dogs nearly 25 years and Trupanion has always responded with the greatest financial support and service. We are living with our 4th dog and each has received the same level of support!. I would and do always strongly suggest to friends that they protect their pets with Trupanion. It’s the best lifesaver that owners will ever get for their companions!

Claims considered “pre-existing”
So far our experience has been terrible if you get insurance and something happens during the first 30 days they will not cover it, even worse they will label it as a “pre-existing” condition even though it happened after enrolment but during the waiting period… I understand that they will not pay out for conditions during the waiting period but to label it as pre-existing is unfair and should be investigated. Seems like a unreasonable and unfair business practice. I should also mention the vet visit to determine the condition was after the 30 the waiting period, so me being honest with them and giving them my best guess of a date when symptoms may have started backfired.. they did not go off of the date of the vet visit as they state in their response below. I imagine any future skin conditions my pet will have will be considered “ pre-existing “ and related to this claim, they lost my trust and will have to earn it back if I choose to continue as a customer.

Trupanion has been fantastic
Trupanion has been fantastic. I have an English Bulldog who has allergies and had to have his tail removed. They have been there every step of the way. I would not have a dog without Trupanion. I actually had Trupanion as soon as I ordered my dog.
