I researched and spoke with over 12 pet insurance companies, and while most of them all offered the same services, what Met Life had that stood out was competitive pricing, with a customer service dept that was superior, by providing me with the exact info I was asking, without upselling me or talking negatively about the competition. They offer discounts for military too. Highly recommend getting s quote to see how competitive they truly are.

Confusing, lack of communication and long wait times
Seriously so annoyed. My cat had to have tests done so I submitted the invoice through the app. A week goes by and I didn’t even know if they had received it because I heard nothing. I called and they told me the app doesn’t really work it takes a long time to have claims processed. Submit it through email and it can take up to 10 days to process so I did that. I received an email back saying we received your claim and we will take care of it from here. 10 days have passed I still haven’t heard anything. I look online and it says there information missing, I didn’t know I needed to fill out a form because the stupid app said nothing about it. They could have at least emailed me saying that I need to fill out a form so now will it take another 10 days to process?? It’s one thing if it will take time to process even though I already sent her previous vet info in. But to not have any communication when they knew I was missing information? Not a good first experience I was expecting more. Now if I go to a different insurance company this condition will not be covered.

Best decision to get this coverage
Our policy covered 90%, $250 deductible. Our family was so thankful for this insurance when our dog became extremely sick twice and covered nearly $40,000 in hospital fees, surgery, and specialty clinic visits. I always had my reimbursement within 10 days and never had a dispute with them. If they needed more information once my claim was submitted, they contacted the hospital for it. They even emailed me to check on my pet after her hospital stays. It meant the world to us that we were able to do everything in our power to save her life, without the worry of being in debt after. DON’T LET YOUR PETS DRINK STANDING WATER OUTSIDE!!!!!!!! I would DEFINITELY go with Healthy Paws again.
