Pets Best Satisfied Customer

"My dog has masticatory myositis which is an auto-immune disease. The treatment is prednisone. Right now she is seen monthly to adjust dosage per her improvement and, luckily, she IS improving. We're hopeful that we can discontinue prednisone altogether soon. It is easy to file through Pets Best and they keep me abreast of status if things seem to lag behind, and they always come through. The lab test to confirm the disease was extremely expensive and the ongoing checkups and medication costs add up. Pets Best has done a lot to alleviate those expenses. Hurrah for Pets Best Insurance."

Worthless Coverage and Terrible Service

I had high hopes for this insurance based on reviews and that it was affiliated with the ASPCA. PSYCH! It’s NOT! This is an advertising scheme! When I submitted a recent claim (February 2026) for my 11 month old dog’s illness that was denied, I called and was told that there was a 14 day waiting period due to new insurance (I’ve had and been paying this premium since August of 2025). I asked to speak with another customer service rep to get more clarification who told me something completely different. I then asked to be transferred to a supervisor who spoke over me for the entire conversation and then said, LITERALLY, if I had waited longer to bring my dog in for treatment, my bill may have been covered. I have paid over $800 and been reimbursed less than $100 AFTER paying $1800 in vet bills. Avoid at all costs. Lemonade has more comprehensive coverage without all the sketchy caveats. Don’t let these people take advantage of you. THIS COMPANY WILL DO ANYTHING TO NOT PAY. DO NOT RISK YOUR PET’S HEALTH BY USING THIS SHADY COMPANY Regarding your response: Since you know I have been in touch with customer service, you should be able to review the calls and determine the ineptitude of your employees and the conflicting answers I received. I appreciate that you took time to read my review and react! Now fix yourself. ALSO, for anyone reading this, the only reason why there are “verified” reviews with 4 or 5 stars is because ASPCA Insurance INVITED them to review by sending a link after a favorable experience. They are less “verified” than those of us that came on here to leave honest feedback.

This was the best purchase for my dog.

I had Pets Best ins. since my puppy was a young pup. I did not have to use the ins. very often, but on a late night in November of 2025 I had to. My 3yo was showing signs of distress and I rushed her to our local emergency vet hospital. The Dr. advised me she needed emergency surgery. Knowing I had the ins. I said do what you have to do. I would have done ANYTHING for my girl, but when the clinic quoted me $21000.00 I was a little taken back and if I had not had the ins. I dont know what I would have done. I did not have to get any pre-approval from the ins. I found out that she had an inoperable blood cancer and with the surgery and chemo treatments she only had about 6mo. The chemo was started and every bill I submitted was not questioned or refused. It was a complete relief. Unfortunately My baby succumb to the cancer only 3 mo. later, but it was 3 mo. longer than had we done nothing. I encourage any and every one to invest in this and Pets Best did GREAT by me.. Thank You.

Very easy claims submission through the app, quick reimbursements. A few times claims have accidentally been mislabeled and needed to be reviewed to get corrected which does take more around 30 days but very easy claims review process. Very happy with my plan and care and attention from Healthy Paws
