Started off good when my dog was a…
Started off good when my dog was a young puppy. Then in April of 2020 he went for a routine checkup and normal shots and that has been on hold since. This year in February no dog had an ear infection for the first time and needed shots. I submitted the claim and have been waiting since. I have called numerous times and get the same answer that the vet keeps sending the wrong information. I spoke with one person at Embrace and was told that she spoke with the vet and received what they were asking for. That was a couple weeks ago and now they told me that it still isn’t what they want. I have been paying for health and wellness insurance since my dog was eight weeks old and thankfully he has been in great health his entire life. I would not recommend this to anybody.

I have had trupanion since 2012
I have had trupanion since 2012. I have 3 cats and 2 French bulldogs. I can’t find any other company who cares and process claims without any drama other than Teupanion. I know sometimes you pay a bit more, but they are committed to cover the expenses they agree to in their policy. So far it has been a very positive experience, and when my babies are sick, I never hesitate on how much it will be to care for them, because I know have trupanion.

Fair and fairly quick approval
My pups have had a rough month, they even reviewed a claim they previously declined and when they saw the diagnosis and treatment they then approved the bill. It is a relatively quick turnaround and they do direct deposit same day they approve.

Great company
Recommendation is to get your pet on insurance as soon as you get him/her. I unfortunately I didn't and his dental was considered pre-existing. You also need to understand that the deductible is per condition. So while it's said to be once in a lifetime of the pet it is per condition. Other than that I have very pleased and impressed with this insurance, i did extensive research and Trupanion was the best choice to make. I love also that they end every call with give (insert pets name) extra hugs and kisses for us. Don't know it just adds a little humanity to each call, specially if dealing with a sick pet.
