Terrible experience from start to finish. I was given a heavy sales pitch from a rep at the humane society. I was exhausted and had decision fatigue from being there for hours, but one of his big talking points was that I have nothing to lose and had around a month to cancel and not be charged. Two weeks later I tried to cancel it. The app isn’t not very user friendly or functional, they make you call to cancel. Again, they hit me with hard sales pitches and told me to just keep it the additional two weeks and that I could cancel at any time. So I did. They never mentioned the loophole that if you submit a claim, even if the claim is denied, that this option is now void. A week later I had to take my cat to the emergency vet. They covered absolutely nothing and didn’t even apply the $450 towards my deductible. What a scam! I had Spot pet insurance before them and they are amazing. Never any issues and their app is more user friendly and functional. Claims are quicker too.

I was disappointed that Ellie's…
I was disappointed that Ellie's medications were not covered. We went to find out why she was limping and we did but unfortunately I hesitate to even submit the bill as I expect it will be denied. We didn't know the results of her exam before we went. Therefore I do not see how it could be pre-existing. I have read you disqualifications and do not agree with them. I probably will not continue this after the year I signed up for.

Addisons diagnosed
My dog was hospitalized twice for Addison disease I submitted the invoices and they were reviewed and I received my payment in about two weeks. Thank goodness I have this insurance since I am retired and live on a fixed income.

SOAP NOTES
SOAP NOTES This is my second year with Metlife Pet Insurance and I believe I have only had 2 claims. My concern is that I am always going back and forth between the doctor and claims department. I think between the Medical Diognses, invoice and description of medication given should tell what was done in the office. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
