Trupanion is unorganized and rude
Trupanion is unorganized and rude. After months of them not receiving my pets medical records supposedly, I stopped paying for a policy I could t use. Coverage details was always “incomplete”. I asked for a refund considering my dog was never covered and I never used it. They said okay. More months later and I still don’t have the refund. Now they act like I’m stupid for wanting a refund in an insurance policy. I’m not an idiot, if he had been “covered” instead of “incomplete” or if I would’ve received something stating his explanation of benefits or coverage being active and we didn’t use it that would obviously be a different story. I gave them my money for nothing. The original woman agreed and said I would be refunded. Today some other guy insinuated that it never happened, was condescending, flat out rude and even lied and said my dog had been covered. I have multiple screenshots where it says he wasn’t. Don’t go with trupanion!!!

Top notch service and staff
Best thing I’ve ever done was to get pet insurance on my boys. Along with the preventative, I get 90% of Coopers medical bills paid for and also get reimbursed for Duncan and Cooper’s vaccinations and dental cleaning. Claims are processed quickly. There is peace of mind knowing my pups are protected and that we won’t take a big hit financially when there is an accident.

I have Wellness coverage!
I have Wellness coverage with Pets Best, and I love it. It helps with the routine costs. Pets Best itself is even better. The rules are clearly laid out, and I have never had any issue with a claim. They have a loyal customer

Quick and easy to follow
Quick and easy to follow. Good policy. I appreciate the CEO emailing me to be sure to review the policy for my dog and that it meets my needs.

Inadequate coverage
When you get a pup it’s an unknown. One of the things I wish I had evaluated was what they DON’T cover. Special diets not covered. Many meds not covered. Pup born with 1 kidney and GI issues. Not covered so we go to other treatments that are costing the company probably twice the amount if they would just cover what would fix things. Too late now. I can’t get him covered with another company. I recommend you do your homework My review stands the same. As a health care provider myself I would recommend a plan that covers life saving meds

ASPCA Pet Insuance is terrible
ASPCA Pet Insuance is terrible. Claim processing is unreasonably slow as is the Custer service when trying to get a reply. I will not be renewing this coverage. They are awful

I haven't used this insurance yet but....
I haven't even used this insurance as yet since I just purchased it a few days ago and I have a 15 day waiting period. Asking me for a review at this point wouldn't be fair. But, if it's the ease of purchase, and the benefits that the policy supposedly gives, then I would say a 5 star is in line. I will be happy to come back and review after I experience submitting a claim. Thanks!
