Stray far away!!!
Stray far away from this company. You will lose more money with them, than you think. I signed up thinking it would help with covering my pets visits. They find ways not to reimburse you for what they originally say they can. The only way to check the status of your claims is by email(which takes days for them to respond) or by phone(which is very frustrating when you speak to a new person every time, and have to re explain your situation to a new rep every single time). They are very disorganized… and you will never get anywhere with them when you have complaints and/or concerns. I am not in the hole due to this insurance company due to false or lack of prior information. They constantly tell you sorry and that’s all you get. Not to mention, they require 18 months of medical records in order to cover claims. It is a total waist of money. If you ever speak to a “supervisor” named Sarah, be warned that she does not care about your concerns, as she is trained to stray you away from canceling, as well as giving you a constant response of “I’m sorry that happened to you, I wish there was something I could do.” They also run the business like it’s 2005. No confirmation numbers on anything when it comes to a complaint or even when canceling. There are no links on their website to help answer any questions that one might have and doesn’t have time to sit on the phone for. I am not upset with this company for no reason. When I signed up, they had a 4.7 rating on google. I now see that score has dropped and after reading comments, I see that I am not the only victim to their sneaky ways of screwing you over. Please stay away from this company and stick to some of the higher rated, older company’s. Overall, they receive a 1 star rating from me. If 0 was an option, it would definitely be that. I hope my review is able to help you not to choose this company for your pets coverage!!! And I hope that in due time, this company will be shut down. Theft from an insurance company is definitely not something ANYONE should experience.

The BEST pet insurance provider!
Trupanion has served my two Shelties since birth. I have found Trupanion to be expedient, professional, but most of all very caring toward my pets needs! My Sheltie Callie has recently had brain surgery to remove a tumor. I felt so supported by Trupanion every step of the way through this process. This was a serious procedure and one which I was very worried for my dog. Trupanion communicated throughout with the Neurologist making all of this experience so much less stressful. I felt I could devote my attention to my dog. I ALWAYS recommend Trupanion to others as they truly do put your pet's medical needs as their first priority. Thank you Trupanion! Great Service
We purchased ARECA insurance when we got Winter from the pound at 8 months. We claims have been processed within 2 weeks except during the pandemic when everything was taking longer. We have had no problems and are glad we went with them as a provider.
