Coverage for hospice services
Recently called regarding coverage for hospice services under my policy. The response to my questions was vague and inconclusive. This was not helpful in deciding the best course of clinical treatment for my dog.

Excellent Insurance Coverage
Definitely worth the money!!! I submitted a claim and the next day it was approved ! I have submitted at least 5 claims or more and every one has been approved and handled in a day or so! Excellent customer service! Thank you

The steps were simple! Pet insurance was purchased pretty swiftly, and I was able to add on the second pet later.

Be careful of inaccurate insurance information
Insurance agent provided inaccurate information about specific items covered. I found out when Nationwide denied my claim. They will not provide any reimbursement for UNUSED coverage.

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
I adopted a puppy from a rescue. She just turned 1 years old and recently started to have allergies. I submitted my claim and they refused it. They kept asking for medical records. I gave them mine from my vet and from the rescue's vet. They rejected them and said its not enough. What do you want for a 1 year old pup?! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I WASTED SO MUCH MONEY ON THIS COMPANY TO JUST GET REJECTED!

Stress-Free
This is the first time we’ve ever used pet insurance and it was a really great experience. On a day when we were worried about our dog and the kids were a handful because of their worries, Trupanion took the stress off so that we didn’t have to concern ourselves with the cost involved or a hassle to get insurance to pay their part. The hospital received approval from Trupanion in minutes and we only paid our co-pay. It was great.
Peace of Mind
We had a scary emergency with our 2 year old Pug a few weeks ago. Thanks to our Healthy Paws insurance - we were able to focus on providing the the best care possible to ensure our pups good health instead of stressing out about the costs associated with it all. We submitted a fairly hefty claim after our appointment and received re-imbursement within a week!

Claim processing
The claim processing was a little excessive. I filed the claim 6/27/23 and was told after 15 days we can request expedited process which was not true. Called back after 16 days and was advised claim rep is working and I would have to wait in additional 19 days to request expedited processing. although customer service was really easy to talk to some of the information provided it was inconsistent. This is only the second claim I have filed since starting my policy in 2021. The first claim was handled within 10 days. I have received my EOB, but reimbursement is still pending. overall I am happy with PetsBest but this claim process was a little frustrating. if anyone is in the market for great coverage, this is the company to look for.
