I was surprised at the cost
I was surprised at the cost. It was so much more than Bivvy. I was with Bivvy for many years was sad when the letter came out that they were not renewing. They recommended Spot and after doing my due diligence that's when I realized how expensive pet insurance really is. I love my Gizmo and went with Spot because of the recommendation from Bivvy. I just signed up so far everything is going well. I have no complaints.

I like the way that you just deposit…
I like the way that you just deposit claims right into my account. and that with this insurance I know I can take my little dogs to the vet any and every time it is needed without fear of paying huge fees. I love all the preventive care you cover for them to keep them healthy. And you are pretty prompt at returning claims.

Glad we have insurance!
Half the cost of my last insurance and covers a lot more! Not sure how people go on without insurance
Not Great
I have Nationwide Pet Insurance. I recently (July 2023) had to spend over $1,000 on my 17 yo cat. I got $200 back. I spend $117 a month on pet insurance. Not worth it. Planning on changing companies this month. Other insurance plans out there (even for a 17 yo cat!) that are comparable that let you pick deductible and how much you are reimbursed.

The prices didn't seem to be consistent. Once I got the same price several times while going through the sign up pages, I purchased insurance for my new pup.

My 12 week old puppy had seizers and was hospitalized. My claim is being held up because a diagnose can not be made. She weighs 3 pounds and had lung issues in the hospital. I have followed every demand they have made and jumped through every hoop but they are still not processing my claim! It is unreasonable and to put my puppy through an MRI to see IF we can get a diagnoses. I was advised not to do an MRI by the neurologist. I get claim rules but sometimes they are not attainable. It has been 2 months.Totally disappointed in AKC!!!!

Emergency Surgery Claim Process
I’ve had various pet insurances over the years and Pets Best has been the easiest to deal with. After my 1 year old kitten got into a bag of hair ties and ate 20 of them (yes, 20), she need emergency surgery. The claim process was the smoothest I’ve ever experienced and amazingly quick!
