I submitted a wellness claim for my pup getting her first shots 5 days ago and I am still waiting for it to be assigned for processing. I called and spoke with their customer service representative and a supervisor who both told me that they can take upwards of two to four weeks to process a single claim. Spot claims on the internet that they process these in a few days. I can't believe this time frame when others pet insurance companies would have already processed the claim and reimbursed the customer, I am still waiting for it be assigned for review. Not a top-notch pet insurance company and I would not recommend them. For my first and initial interaction I am not impressed and they do not live up to what they state they will do in processing claims.

Pumpkin Insurance Helps Owners and Pets
As a veterinary professional of over 20 years I've seen my share of pet insurance companies. I chose Pumpkin because of the client experiences I heard, seeing their coverage, and ease of use for owners like myself and that they actually do what they say they will do as far as paying claims. Recently having some unfortunate health issues arise on my own pets I knew Pumpkin was there to help and they did not disappoint. I recommend Pumpkin to all my clients whether they have young or older pets. In a world now where finances play such a huge role in whether clients can do what they need for their beloved pet because of great insurance like Pumpkin it's a reassurance that help is available. Highly recommend MetLife Pet – Compassionate and seamless support during a difficult time
I had to file my first claim for my cat, Joongbae Kim, after he suddenly became ill. MetLife Pet made the entire process so easy and fast. They covered everything from medical bills to the final farewell costs (euthanasia/cremation), which I truly did not expect to be covered. The fact that they automatically closed my policy and refunded the balance showed true care for their customers. It made a very difficult period much easier to handle. I highly recommend them to any pet owner.

"I'm very happy to share that I had to take my Border Collie to the vet due to a mild injury, and to know that I have a great insurance that will cover extra exams it's a piece of mind. My vet prescribed an x-ray and medication and I didn't have to worry about not affording to pay it out of pocket. The claim process was very easy and fast. The answer came 2 days after I put the claim. "
Highly Recommend Pets Best
If you are going to adopt a new pet as part of the family, you know that vet bills are going to be inevitable. We finally decided to get pet insurance for our new cat Gracie, after recently losing our special boy cat, Ritter. We will still be paying for Ritter's end of life care for months to come because we did not have insurance for him. By the time he needed it, it was too late. We will not be without it again, and Pets Best has been great so far!
The app needs some improvement
The app needs some improvement, I’ve never had success logging into it and am only able to use the actual website to access my account. It has been difficult to download the explanation of benefits after I’ve submitted a claim because it constantly runs into errors during download. I’ve also had to personally contact my vet to obtain SOAP documents in order to finish submitting my claims even though I can see that they have previously submitted it directly to MetLife. Makes the process more time consuming.
