Great coverage, easy to find information
Great Name and great coverage! Was so easy to not only find all the information I needed to make an informed decision to switch from our old provider but it was super fast, easy and convenient to sign my dogs up! I had questions which were answered promptly through email and am so happy with the services provided, the coverage and the affordability of this pet insurance. I now pay half of what I did with our old insurance company and it feels Furkin good. I appreciate that there are no hidden fees and you clearly indicate when rates will increase with age and by how much!

I don’t like the fact that you and the vet do not work together. And I have to fill out forms to get my money returned. I am a senior and am not good on this thing. I get frustrated. Thought they would pay the vet but I had to

Surprised by the ease and efficiency.
First pet insurance we have had, even after 30 years of pets. Thought we would have it for catastrophic need, but decided to file for smaller (but expensive) procedure. Was VERY pleased with the ease of filing, and the promptness of our reimbursement.

Excellent Reimbursement Like Promised…
Never had pet insurance before but after the expense of our last dog we decided to get it for our new dog. Had to take our pup to the hospital for some GI bug, $1450. Wasn’t counting on getting much back of our 90% reimbursement once seeing some reviews. To our surprise we got reimbursed $1138 and it only took about 3 weeks. I’m still in shock that they did not make an excuse not to pay. Very happy with customer service & Pets Best insurance has lived up to its promise! Thank You

Online Claim Not Working
This website needs some bugs fixed. First when I tried logging in, the home screen didn't open. After that settled, I tried to submit a claim and the screen kept loading and never opened. I thought maybe my phone service was acting up so the next day while I was at home, I connected to the Wifi and it still continued with the loading screen. I even logged I'm on my laptop and the same problem persisted. Please fix this issue!

Excellent support and service
My beloved kitty soul mate, Keester, became suddenly ill and required emergency and ICU care which, unfortunately, didn't work out and the only humane option was euthanasia. He had developed acute renal failure and went downhill quickly. I was totally in shock losing Keester to kidney failure I wasn't even aware of. There was nothing I wouldn't do to help him survive, but it was not meant to be. Twelve hours of emergency and ICU care cost $2100. Pumpkin provided compassionate support for me, and made complete reimbursement for the expenses incurred exactly as laid out in the policy. They even sent flowers to me at home after he died (a gentle and compassionate gesture at a time when I was consumed with shock and grief). I would still give anything to have Keester back in my life. But it is incredibly reassuring to have had the Pumpkin insurance policy in place for this critical event I never saw coming until it was too late. I thank the wonderful people at Pumpkin who never allowed me to feel I was just another policy holder and Keester was just another cat covered under a plan that cost them money. Frankly, I never expected any insurance company to care about anything except maintaining their bottom line by denying claims of policy holders. So I find them to be a real cut above any insurance company I've ever dealt with. As a person on a fixed income, I tend to overinsure because of fear that I won't have sufficient funds to cover veterinary expenses in case of emergency or long-term expenses for illnesses. I'm so glad I had this policy in place so I wouldn't have to worry about Keester getting the care he needed. As a responsible kitty mom, I would choose Pumpkin again for pet insurance I would never want to be without.

Spot is a Scam
This company is a scam who takes your money and then we need them to cover something big, then they cry it’s a preexisting condition. My cat puked in January, and in the obstruction X-ray the vet noticed what could have been small kidneys, which could signify future chronic kidney disease. We just had his blood drawn 10/31, he has to be put under, to double check if this is an issue, it isn’t, and Spot denied the claim. Stating clause 51, which I assume is preexisting condition. They’re employee who I spoke to in February told me that Spot would cover this test, but now $400 later, they won’t. I immediately changed to Lemonade insurance and am canceling Spot tomorrow. They also posted the same reply on this as they do everyone. I don’t need an explanation of what your 21 year old employee decided based on how it will benefit Spot. I need Spot to realize that a possible obstruction (which there wasn’t anything, suggesting my cat simply ate something that affected him adversely) resulting in an X-ray with a possible smaller kidney (turns out his kidneys are fine, based on the test your employee told me would be paid), is not the same thing. Cat eats something and pukes on one occasion ever in his life is not the same thing as cat could have chronic kidney disease, based on an incidental X-ray to see if cat has a ball of yarn in his stomach. Obviously whomever does the claims has no clue about the anatomy of animals. This is Spot taking care of Spot and not taking care of the customer or their beloved pet. I’ve now spent $1600 out of pocket this year and my cat is in perfect health, no thanks to Spot. I will never trust a Forbes suggestion ever again.
