Within the first year, our puppy required over $4000.00 in unexpected vet care.
We are so happy that we signed up for Trupanion coverage when our pup was young as within one year our healthy puppy required over $4000.00 in veterinary care. We are so grateful to Trupanion who has covered 2/3rds of our vet bills and everything they did not cover had been clearly explained prior to signing up. We are grateful to Trupanion and their caring staff, everyone we spoke with was compassionate, professional and helpful with all of our inquiries.

Figo is so easy to work with!
Every time I need to file a claim, Figo makes it so easy. I have never had to call or email and ask where my money is. I highly recommend Figo!

The ease of making a claim online
The ease of making a claim online. Also, they made a decision promptly. Overall, I am happy with the insurance product. There are some exclusions and deductibles, but I think the service and payments I receive are, overall, very fair.

More coverage paying out of pocket
I cancelled by policy after little to no coverage for claims filed despite services being under the umbrella of being covered. When I attempted to appeal these decisions, I was met with "sorry for the delay in responding to your claim" over and over. I decided I would be better off paying out of pocket or returning to Banfield after my experiences using Spot.

Embrace is one of the most expensive…
Embrace is one of the most expensive insurance companies, which I have known for the 12 years that I have insured my dog. My kids have both had lower rates and greater coverage for years. What I really didn't expect, however, was Embrace increasing my insurance rate by 30% per year at ages 10 and 11, and then by 50% when my dog turned 12. The cost for my insurance this year will be $4000, including a $1000 deductible. Do not be fooled into thinking that loyalty pays, and that sticking with the same pet insurance company is smart, especially if your insurance company is Embrace.

Mainly the wellness coverage was…
Mainly the wellness coverage was useful, but if your pet had any preexisting conditions, it will be used against you for everything else. So if your pet was itchy, consider any other skin issue anywhere else on their body to NOT be covered. Even if is different. For example, if your pet has skin allergies, and they end up with a bump on their foot, you WILL BE DECLINED COVERAGE. They also had a claim open for 5 months and no one followed up on it, until I had to ask. *Please note how their response failed to address this wait time. This prompted me to close my account with them. I’m uncertain why Embrace is requesting for me to contact them any further. I am aware of the policy. They did not make any considerations, or note the possibility of a temporary diagnosis. If you have to wait 6-12 months for coverage, then it is clear that they will not cover your pet. I do NOT recommend Embrace. Please learn from my experience and read other reviews about Embrace that state they will DENY coverage.

Satisfied customer
I think Health Paws is a good insurer. Filing a claim online is very easy. They are pretty prompt in making a decision and the reimbursement is made directly into one's account, which also saves time. There are some exclusions and deductibles, but overall, I think the product is a good and fair value for the premiums.

It would be very helpful to have more phone operators…
It would be very helpful to have more operators available to answer phone lines. I have tried several times to reach an Embracer and e ach time there were 40+ callers in line ahead of me.
