Ponzi scheme insurance

This company seemingly words their policy in a way so that they cover almost nothing. They have it so unless your pet is perfect in every way, they will not cover the issue. Then as your pet ages, they raise the rates, making this policy more expensive than human coverage. I used to like pet best insurance but now it is feeling like more of a pyramid scheme. Pay, pay, pay... keep paying, oh, your pet is sick, that is not our problem, you didn't meet the deductible, or they try and claim your pet has a pre-existing condition which is most often horse dung. Seriously considering changing companies.

When my Pomeranian puppy broke his leg

When my Pomeranian puppy broke his leg, I felt overwhelmed. His fracture was such that he needed surgery. When I saw the cost, I caught my breath, but I knew it had to be done. From past experience with pet insurance, I figured I'd manage to pay it off after the insurance handled a small portion of it. I was wrong. True to their word, Trupanion has come through on their assurances to be there when needed. I am so glad this insurance was recommended to me and I recommend Trupanion without qualification. It is all I hoped it would be! Thank you :)

I love Trupanion!! As soon as I got my puppy, my vet offered same day enrollment and Trupanion accepted my little doggo! I called to ask some questions and ended up talking to a huge dog lover like me, and oh yeah! Got all my questions completely answered.

Coverage waiting period

Buying coverage and not having the coverage for a month during the waiting period is a bit of bait and switch. My vet gave my pup a clean bill of health, as did the breeder I used to buy the pup. These two people should be able to vouch for the lack of ‘pre-existing conditions’

Excellent experience

Great experience. I called and spoke to a young lady. I can’t remember her name, but so was so kind and bubbly, happy. She connected me to a local rep who also was very kind and helpful. We had conversation about our pups and how we came up with names and so forth. Both reps were great. I could literally “see” their smiles though the phone. I was congratulated on Riggs and he was welcomed to the Trupanion family. My local rep and I kept getting disconnected. He never gave up trying to reach me again. Took 3-4 tries of a bad connection, but he got through and we finished signing Riggs up and all was good. Thank you to both of those reps. I’m very very please. Thank you.
