We bought Met Life Pet Insurance based…
We bought Met Life Pet Insurance based on a thorough review of cost vs. benefits. When we needed to renew our policy, their premium costs skyrocketed. We negotiated a little lower premium, and renewed with them again because one of our two dogs had a pre-existing condition requiring dental extractions. That surgery was performed 8/22 and Met life it seems has buried the claim and never paid it. Every time we call, they ask for the same information over again, or alternatively, they tell us the same story over again. No one seems to be able to help us get the claim paid. Beyond frustrated. My husband has spent endless hours in multiple conversations with customer support and no resolution. Today my husband is giving it is all, in an attempt to escalate the claim. Wish us luck!!!

They make it very hard to get coverage…
They make it very hard to get coverage for some items prescribed by your vet. My pet needed a medication my Dr did not carry so I was told to order it online, but since it is a supplement they didn’t ask for the pets info and MetLife won’t accept the invoice without the pets name.

Where is the value?
Having worked in the insurance industry for 5 years many years ago, I have a basic understanding of how the “system works”. In our case, we are paying $981 annually - submitted $697 in claims over 3 years and Pets Best has only paid out $200. Where is the value?

Insurance was misleading
Insurance was misleading, did know I'd have to pay double that wasn't mentioned until the end of enrollment, when it was time to pay also recommended representative O spoke to prior told that because I have an older dog that somethings won't be reimbursed, now I feel I shouldn't have even paid for it.

I chatted with Fabrice Le-Morzellec to get my new shelter pup, Ellie, signed up with Fetch! He was very helpful and spent the time to go over different coverage options with me. We ended up creating the perfect plan for me and my dog! Definitely recommend. :)

40% year over year premium increase
This company has continued to raise the premiums year over year with the latest increase of 40%. This 40% increase comes even with increasing the co-insurance and deductible on the policy (i.e., increasing the amount I need to pay for each claim). Loyalty does not seem to matter, as I have been a customer since 2018. I understand they *believe* they care about their customers, but with an annual revenue of at least $36.4 million dollars, it's clear they mostly care about making a profit from their customers' attachment to their pets. I would recommend going elsewhere and asking lots of questions before signing up with any pet insurance provider, as this was sold to me in 2018 as a service that would cover more and have very minimal premium increases as compared to their competitors. I am currently reviewing the Nerd Wallet comparisons to determine if there is a better match for my budget, my pets age, and the veterinary notes that could be considered "pre-existing conidiations" for other policies.
