Amazing.
When my dog Trigger, who is a year and a half did not eat his breakfast I got concerned but thought maybe he wasn't hungry yet. Then the vomiting started in the afternoon and he wouldn't drink water. I called my vet and they took him right in. They believed he had a foreign body and took x-rays where something was seen in the stomach but could not be made out. They gave us meds for him and had us bring him back in the morning. He had gotten much worse over night and they did a barium study to see if he had movement in his stomach and g.i tract. At noon the vet called and said the barium was not moving at all and emergency exploratory surgery was needed so I went in signed the papers and he went under. After the surgery we found out from the vet there was no foreign body, it was food rotting inside him because his stomach and digestive system went into Ileus (it was paralyzed). They don't know why or how but this meant he would have to stay at the vet for a week however, we would take him home at night. During the day he needed an I.V for fluids, stimach meds, and antibiotics. He would not take anything by mouth and was not using the washroom. I am happy to say, he is not fully recovered but he is back home after what was a traumatic nightmare of a week for not only our pup but us as well. It was made so much less stressful by not having to worry for a second, if we would be able to afford all of this. The bills were in the thousands and every single time Trupanion worked with our vet and all I had to do was pay my portion which was usually pennies in comparison. After my deductible was paid they did everything else. We could focus on our pup not worrying about finances, or if we could afford his treatment, for that I will forever be greatful. Everyday there was new bill but I only paid my deductible once, the same illness the deductible is paid once and that illness will never be charged a deductible again. If I had questions customer support was on call 24/7 and I never had to try fighting with an automated recording. Thank you so much for everyone at Albany and Trupanion. They made it so easy to focus our attention where it needed to be and not adding tons of paperwork and bills on top. No confusing jargon just super simple and I have all receipts and claims accessible in my account at any time.

This review is for GERRONE NEWSOME only. He is professional and the only person who has been able to help me with my questions. I have had insurance for my 4 dogs since 2014 when it was still with go pet plan. Since it became Fetch, it has been really hard to get hold of someone. But today, I did manage to get hold of Gerrone and he helped with with all my questions. This man is professional, calm, helpful and restored my faith in this company. He deserves a HUGE raise.

HAPPY WITH MY EXPERIENCE
I’ve only been in contact in order to purchase health insurance for my puppy. I was pleased with my phone encounter. The service felt personal and supportive. There was no pressure and I felt like I had my questions answered. I am pleased that this company offers a discount for veterans. I also love that they have a veterinarian advice line that I can contact with questions or concerns about my puppy’s health. I should also note that this benefit is without any additional charge.

I was looking at getting pet insurance for our fur baby and got a notice that I could get it through USAA and get a discount. I filled out the quote and the next day the agent called us and walked us through the whole process and answered all of our questions. It was a great experience.

Insurance policy…
I signed up for a medical insurance policy & was more than willing to pay the calculated premiums. What I did not expect was an entire staff of claim reviewers apparently working overtime to find loopholes in order to reject claims by saying pre-existing issues were to blame. Over & over & over.
