We have had Spot insurance for about 4 months. So far, it’s been great. It’s an easy process!

Our dog was attacked by a buck deer. Took her to the emergency vet where she was treated for lacerations and given medication. Filed a claim which was settled quickly enough but oddly enough the cost of the examination to determine the extent of the injuries was not approved. The explanation given was that exams are not covered by the policy. This was not a wellness exam, this was an injury exam in order to determine needed treatment. I advise requesting the word "examination" not be included on any invoice. Have the Vet bundle that cost in with treatment cost.

I was gifted policies for my pets
I was gifted policies for my pets. I said nah we won’t need them. Sure enough my pet got so sick and we spent upwards of $15K just to get a diagnosis. It was a nightmare to go through. My initial dealing with fetch was upsetting. Her case wasn’t black and white and we had so many claims. Once I figured it all out I was very pleased with fetch and the ease of submitting things (once I fully understood how it had to be done). I don’t think my pet would be here today with this policy. In the many times I’ve called customer service, I’ve been so pleased with the people on the other end of the phone. We are renewing our policies this year and adding on wellness packages and I added another pet. I hope should we need it, this will be here to save us. It’s a bit pricy for most but I do think they have some good options to choose from.

My recent experience was great. However, I will never forget when I first joined and was lied to about getting a $25 Amazon gift card for joining. That never happened and that lie lingers in the back of my head. I don’t appreciate hanging carrots that turn out to be lies.

Best pet insurance company of 2023
I've been using Spot for over one year. At the time I signed up, I only had one dog who was 12 years old. I had shopped around and gotten quotes from other insurance companies, but because of her age and the limitations on building a flexible plan, they were all outrageously expensive. Then I found Spot and it offers more options for building a custom plan, so I could get the price down to a reasonable monthly amount while still having good coverage and a high reimbursement percentage. I had no problems during the first year and none of her claims were turned down. I adopted a second dog in the spring of 2023 and added her to my plan. Because I was adding a second dog and because she was only 2, her rate was much cheaper! I was able to increase her plan and still have the rate be below $60 per month! I renewed my plan a couple months ago and increased my senior dogs plan a bit, and still between the two of them it's less than $200 per month with great coverage and a high reimbursement percentage. I still have had no issues with claims and nothing has been denied. My senior dog has been having some health issues and has needed to expensive things done like an EKG of her heart and it was covered no problem. I'm very happy with Spot so far and I can see why it's ranked the best pet insurance company of 2023 by Forbes and many others.

A Company that Cares
I insured 3 cats: 1, 2, and 18 years old. My 18 year old recently passed away. When I submitted my claim for end of life care, Spot Insurance sent me a condolence email and a few days later someone called me with condolences. I was touched by this. Without request, they ended my deceased cat’s insurance the day after he died, refunded the remaining monthly insurance fee, and reimbursed me for my cats end of life vet bill. I am totally impressed with this company. I am glad my two younger cats are covered by such a caring company.
