Update: continuing to charge me after the death and cancellation of policy
Run don't walk from this company. I'll give you my honest 13-year experience with examples. They were actually great for years when they were petplan, but became terrible once taken over by the Dodo (apt name). A few examples: 1. Want to spend money on a new policy? They're happy to take your call. However, if you're spending thousands (and you WILL spend thousands) per year, you're stuck with a crappy chatbot that gives you incomplete and unhelpful options. After lots of time getting nowhere you'll have to wait for an email response. No time for personal calls once you have your policy. 2. (This one I think is the most egregious, and likely tricks many customers): Your copay plan will have an actual deductible that FAR EXCEEDS the published deductible. Example: a 70-30 plan with a $500 'per condition' deductible. When we had expenses they would only apply 70% of those expenses to the deductible. So you'll find that you spend far more than $500 before you hit your deductible. Simple math means, in fact, that you'll spend $715 to hit a "$500" deductible ($715 X 70% = $500). Imagine - that's advertised as a $500 deductible. Take that for each condition because the deductible is 'per condition', and you'll find that you're spending hundreds - if not thousands - more than the published deductible before you get any coverage whatsoever. Shady. 3. At annual rollover, your premiums will definitely go up, sometimes by 200-300%. Do they give you notice and an option to continue? Nope - they used to (with petplan)....but now the Dodo automatically bills you at the new rate. Want to make a change? Cancel? Well, you're stuck with the unhelpful chatbot yet again (which, surprise surprise, includes no 'cancellation' option). 4. Finally, when the company was still petplan we had a death benefit associated with the policy. After experiencing the deep sadness associated with saying goodbye to our 13 yo lab, we read the fine print of the new policy, which states that no death benefits are paid to animals over age 8. There's more, but that's enough. It used to be a great company - now it's profit only. You can definitely do better - shop around. UPDATE: Even after all of this (see reply below), and after cancelling my policy due to the death of our pet, they just charged my credit card again for > $200 for our monthly premium. And NO ONE will answer a call or a move chat to help. Just continuing to make a painful experience unbelievably bad.

Kelsey is an excellent staff member.
Kelsey explained very well the reason for the increase in the premium for my pet, DorB. We went over several different options for lowering the premium, but in the end, I decided to just leave it the way it was. I appreciated Kelsey‘s very nice explanations, and her very patient manner.

The Fetch insurance has helped me right from the start. I had to get my in-training service dog her vaccines and yearly check up. I had it done, sent in my vets paperwork, and was compensated quickly.
The ease of sending in my service dog's yearly exam and vaccinations was made so simple with Fetch. I sent in my vets information and was compensated quite quickly. I was not expecting to be compensated as quickly as I had been. They made it very easy, and I have nothing but great experiences with Fetch!!

Would not Recommend
In my experience THE COMPANY DOES EVERYTHING IT CAN TO NOT COVER MEDICAL CLAIMS THE COMPANY IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH.. Cannot be reached after their hrs, by phone or chat..the 24/7 chat will not take A cancellation requested.. One must call in-Eastern Time I live in Western Canada. And work during regular day hours. Cannot leave a voicemail to have someone return the call. Very difficult to download claims. One os the most stressful and expensive experience for nothing. Date of experience: November 27, 2023

BOAS Surgery for 1 yo Frenchie
Our 1yo French Bulldog required a major airway surgery due to his BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome). This operation entails a Soft Palate Resection, widening of his nares, a tonsillectomy and removal of his saccules and we also decided to neuter him at the same time so that he can avoid another round of anesthesia. The operation was very stressful for us as a family - mainly because we were worried about the outcome and the recovery of such a major surgery but also due to the cost of the operation itself. Because the operation is so invasive, he required an overnight stay for monitoring along with medication to follow during his recovery. The estimate of the surgery was between $6700 to $7600. Due to the tremendous impact that this surgery would have on his quality of life, we decided to move forward with the surgery and we are happy to report that he is healing very well and is a totally different dog who can actually breathe now! (It ended up costing just under $7100) The plus was that Healthy Paws was there to help us with the cost of the surgery and we were reimbursed the promised 70% of our coverage! We are over the moon with the result of his surgery as well as Healthy Paw's insurance coverage. What a relief all the way around! We recommend HealthyPaws to all of our friends with pets!

FIGO is a life saver literally!!!
FIGO is a life saver literally!!!! In March my fur baby started limping. Took him to vet and found out he needed surgery in his shoulder. Knowing that FIGO would pay as I have an older dog who as well has health issues and FIGO covered all of his bills. I scheduled surgery. I am happy to say surgery was a success and was reimbursed 2 days later a bill mind you that was almost $6000!!!! So if anyone thinking about insurance please get it and call FIGO THEY WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!!!

I’m so grateful my vet tech recommended…
I’m so grateful my vet tech recommended pet insurance, specifically Pets Best when I brought my 10 month old kitten in for her first exam. Within months my kitten was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and Pets Best has been a godsend. They have covered her exams from her pet dermatologist as well as her meds and tests. I’m very happy with Pets Best Insurance.
