Mostly Satisfied
I am so grateful for Trupanion and have had great communication with customer service reps while trying to figure out how to file a claim. I am a bit frustrated though as I will have to appeal my first ever claim because the diagnoses that the insurance company gave my dog is incorrect. I am not sure where they got the diagnosis they gave her. It does appear that the appeal process is fairly simple. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the process, the monthly premium, and the coverage. I am grateful that my dog has Trupanion.

Trupanion saved my Dog
Trupanion saved my Dog. She was hit by a truck and without the insurance I wouldn't have been able to afford the care that it took to keep her alive. She was in the hospital for 7 days and now that she's home I'm so thankful that I don't have crippling debt alongside the recovery of my dog. Thank you

Somewhere along the way
Somewhere along the way, they changed their terms to not cover the exam. My bad for not reading the small print I guess. So with a 1K deductible, my urgent care trip of $1500 only got me back a couple of hundred bucks. They also have not managed to get their portion to me in the 72 hours they tout it would happen. IN THE FOLLOWING RESPONSE WE GOT THE STANDARD "WE REALLY CARE..." MESSAGE AND A REQUEST TO CALL. NOTE THAT AS REGARDS BOTH OF THESE ISSUES, I ALREADY DID THAT. STILL NO PAYOUT. BUT I AM NOT GONNA CALL AGAIN TO GET THE SAME "ANSWER' AS BEFORE. JUST SEND THE PAYOUT MONEY THAT IS DUE, PLEASE.

Great but expensive
Quick easy claims process. Claims are off and submitted and approved on the same day. Customer service is also outstanding. I will say I am very disappointed in the premium increases. My policy started at $120 a month for two dogs and it is now up to $350 per month. I thought when I purchased it, I was locking in the price but boy was I wrong! And now the dogs are older so getting a different policy is out of the question. That is my only complaint.
