Do not sign up for the healthy pet option. It is difficult to make a claim, and if you don't use your $250./ year, the company keeps your money.

Trupanion is a solid choice
This is our first experience with pet insurance our rescue dog Lulu suffered from sudden onset glaucoma thankfully we had bought a policy on her vets recommendation the last visit she had. Unfortunately Lulu lost sight in one eye and it had to be removed and now she will have to see her vet every month for the rest of her life to check eye pressure in the remaining eye. Without trupanion It would be difficult covering all of her visits. The first few claims took awhile but that's understandable but once approved it's been very quick usually 2 days and we receive 90% back. Thanks for being there for Lulu.
