Do not pick this company for your pet
My dog has been with this company since he was 6 years old. And the price started off really good. Maybe around 32 a month. He is now 16 and a half and they want me to pay $350 a month and he doesn't even go to the vet that often and it never equals out. I would never recommend this company. Really do your research but I know no other company will take my dog now so I have to stay with them and I have to keep my dog covered. Obviously the owners of embrace are not dog lovers. They don't see dog that their family. They only see a dog as a dog. You can tell by the services that they provide. They always want to talk a bunch of rubbish to Make it seem like they're doing everything the same as everybody else! I would never pick this company or recommend it to anyone! Talk to a veterinarian. Find out which ones they think are the best.

I was hesitant to get Insurance
I was hesitant to get Insurance, I had always opted for the savings account route but the rescue coordinator who managed my dogs adoptions highly recommended Embrace. The rates were low and the dogs were new to me, so I decided to give it a try for a year. I have been with Embrace for 2.5 years and they have been nothing but amazing. One of my dogs had an ER visit within months of getting insurance, the person handling my first claim was so kind and caring. Recently my other dog had a tumor and subsequent surgery and chemo. The peace of mind that having insurance provided is priceless. My claims were processed very quickly and the entire process was straightforward and easy. I would highly recommend Embrace. I really like that the coverage is annual, not per incident. My premiums have increased, but again the peace of mind is definitely worth every penny.

Everything is a pre-existing condition on an otherwise healthy 1 year old animal. Do yourself a favor and skip the headache.

Monthly rate increased 46% in one year with no ability to document why
Have usually had good experiences with coverage although they did not cover the $30,000 for cancer treatments because said it was "pre-existing " yet two vets sent documentation that the cancer was different than previous conditions. Am now looking at other options because rate increased 46% in one year based on "numbers in my area" yet no one was able to provide those numbers. "We do not have access". We'll for rate to increase 46% in one year based on numbers, they should be able to provide those numbers

Meningitis - Never knew a dog could get!
My son’s dog was diagnosed with meningitis. He needed over $20,000 in treatment. We were able to get a pre approval completed in minutes giving us the peace of mind that anything recommended, we were able to say ‘yes’. 90% was paid directly to the ER. Trupanion helped prolong his life by 4+ years. Unfortunately he suffered meningitis 3 times, and we lost him. However, it was never due to finances. He had a great quality of life while he was with us!
