Convenient to do at home
Convenient to do at home. I did find that I was not given an option to add my wife to the policy. You have to go to payment before I could add a second owners name. Every time I took a brake and went back to complete I lost everything I had previously put in and had to start over. Overall I found the process was great.

Our Experience, Results With Pumpkin.
Recently purchased insurance for our two kitties. Filed a first claim for a annual Exam/Consultation & yearly shots. Within the week it was approved. Have called a few times for info. and they answered every question I had. Very satisfied. Thanks Pumpkin!

Spot Pet Insurance denies legitimate sick claims!
My dog has Spot Pet Insurance. I keep very good care of my dog. She had been diagnosed for head allergy in July 2018. The latest allergy related visit was in September 2020. I took her to vet for a paw issue in January 2023. The vet assumed it was allergy (vets are not very good at diagnosing in the first place, he was suggesting all kinds of things....). This is full 3 years+ after the previous allergy visit (on the forehead). Spot Pet Insurance denied my claim for this sick visit, as it is pre-existing cause. Excuse me? How is it pre-existing? I have kept my dog healthy for three plus years. I am flabbergasted how poorly this pet insurance covers anything. It certainly denies all the sick visit claims. Useless insurance to pay for! DO NOT GET SPOT PET INSURANCE! Addition on 3/6/2023 after reading Spot Pet Insurance's response to mine: This system does not allow me to post below the BS response from Spot Pet Insurance. They are pretty much a scam. The response makes the reader think that they actually will do something about the issue. THEY WON'T! I wrote my review after speaking to their rep on that phone number their posting lists below. HORRIBLE INSURANCE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET SPOT INSURANCE. THEIR RESPONSE TO THIS REVIEW SHOWS THEIR IGNORANCE AND TRYING TO LOOK GOOD FOR OTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. THEY WILL DO NOTHING EVEN IF I CALLED THE NUMBER. IT IS ALL DAMAGE CONTROL FROM THIS BS PET INSURANCE COMPANY. DO NOT GET SPOT PET INSURANCE! SCAM!

I got the insurance when I adopted our new dog. Being a first time dog mom I figured I’d get it for any emergencies. I decided to add the wellness policy as well. Good idea! Customer service is outstanding answering all my questions. The app is easy to use. And claims are paid fast. Completely satisfied.

My honest review....I'm a Happy customer
I had been looking for pet insurance for a year, I decided to go with Pumpkin because all their benefits beat the other companies I was comparing. I wanted to wait on a review to truly see how it was to file a claim. I chose to add the Preventative Wellness to my plan. I went on Wednesday 3/1/23 to take my cat for his annual check-up and filed a claim right when I got home. The claim process online was super easy and very user-friendly. The claim was completed the very next day on Thursday 3/2, I was reimbursed Friday morning 3/3 with my direct deposit. I am so happy with this company and I wish I knew about pet insurance years ago! If you are thinking about pet insurance definitely go with Pumpkin

I would have given a 5 but I had to…
I would have given a 5 but I had to work extra on my side to get my claim correctly processed. It was denied incorrectly but when I contacted customer support I was pleased with the results. My claim was reopened and paid.
