The BEST pet insurance
I have been with Trupanion for over 7 years, and currently I have 2 dogs and 2 cats insured with them. One dog has needed 3 surgeries, and they were amazing in quickly facilitating the pre-approval and arranging to pay the hospitals directly so I didn’t have to incur the cost. They are SO accessible, compassionate and efficient in their approach to animal care. I researched so many pet insurance, and by far they are the best. One of my favorite feature is that once the deductible is satisfied, it is for the life of the pet per the condition. In other words, once I met the deductible for my dog’s ACL surgery, anything related to that leg / ACL is covered at 90% for his life. Some companies make you meet the deductible annually.

The company seems like a scam to me
The company seems like a scam to me. I have two cats with it. Young cats (under 3) I submitted a dental claim 3 month ago. They keep “processing it” because they don’t have records from before she was adopted. I called them 3 times and explained where the cat was adopted from and what her name was there. Each time they say the updated it only to tell me the same thing 2-3 weeks later. It’s a non stop run around. I certainly would not recommend them and will be looking for a different carrier.

I filed a claim a week ago
I filed a claim a week ago. They are asking to send my pets records from 01/10/2022. My vet, VCA Noyes has responded twice now by sending the information requested. I personally do not have his records. All records are on file which was sent by VCA Noyes.

I work in the vet med field and deal with many insurance companies. I am satisfied with the communication I receive from PB especially compared to other companies that will not keep policy holders in the know with what is going on with their claims. Great coverage for the cost and they don’t try to skirt away from their responsibility as the insurance company. Too often I see people being denied for claims for absurd reasons from other companies. We ALWAYS recommend Pets Best to our clients and hope they have as much success with them as we do!
