A fair insurer for pets of all ages
Pets Plus Us gives you your exclusions up front and approves the majority of claims without issue if they are not related to existing conditions listed up front. They are a bit pricier than most insurance, and do not have direct pay (3 week turnaround on claims) but I love the peace of mind of knowing that my claims will likely be approved in a reasonable time. This is in contrast to my usual experience with insurance companies of all kinds! Highly recommend the peace of mind of pet insurance, and if you can't afford PetsPlusUS, just get anything you can afford! It is so sad when owners can't pay for emergency care or cancer care for their pets and consider humane euthanasia instead. Everyone should be insured and it should be considered a matter of ethical pet ownership if at all feasible to the owner.
Registered my cats
Registered my cats, Jasper and Edward, after an expensive yearly exam. My vet recommended Pumkin since they are both 8 years old. I was able to submit the vet receipts very easily and today received notification the the claims had been approved, all within a week. Very happy with the experience. Money from the approved claim was deposited into my checking account.

Quote process not without issues
Although we ultimately purchased coverage from Pumpkin, dealing with the sometimes not functioning quote website was an exercise in total frustration. The rep that I worked with over the phone was very helpful. She did acknowledge the issues with the site and took information to help to hopefully resolve their issues.
