Trupanion has actually saved the life of our 13 yr old Cocker
Trupanion has been the insurance provider for our English Cocker Spaniel, Clover, since we adopted her at 14 months. Of course, puppies don't have many health or medical issues so we use our insurance less. I realized that Clover would grow to be an adult and prayerfully a senior female doggie. Clover will soon be 14 years of age and Trupanion has remained FAITHFUL to paying claims quickly and according to the guidelines that I selected 13 years ago!! Trupanion reviews and pays claims in less than 10 days. I don't recall having been questioned about a claim except one time. The claim was denied and after the vet provided additional clarification on the treatment, Trupanion paid the claim without further question. MOST RECENTLY TRUPANION WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT ANY PET OWNER COULD EXPECT FROM AN INSURANCE PROVIDER. Clover stopped eating regularly in 9/2023. She went from 2 to 3 helpings to gradually 1/2 helping and some days NO food at all. Communicating with Clover's primary vet, getting regular lab work and trying low fat dog foods that wasn't even supposed to be a part of her diet was an every day job trying to find food for Clover. I roasted turkey breast in the oven, I ordered ground venison from Venison raised farms, But by Jan 2024 Clover was walking away from food and weighing 17 lbs from 28 lbs. Our phenomial primary vet concluded, 'it's time to take Clover to an IM vet." So, on 2/15/2024 we took Clover to VCA Aurora and Dr Curran ( an OUTSTANDING IM Vet!!) put an extensive plan in place to find out why Clover wasn't eating and get her healthy again. This plan included many labs, CT scans, endiscopy, and a temporary feeding tube. My husband and I were awe-stricken when we realized that Dr Curran was leaving NO stones unturned to find the root cause and treatment for Clover. ESTIMATE FOR THIS GAME PLAN: $13,000 - $15,000!! mMy husband and I do well financially BUT....Before I could finish the nurse said, 'we have an option for you all because you have Trupanion.' 'We'' send this estimate to Trupanion and find out what they will pay.' AND, in less 45 minutes Trupanion had submitted an estimate of almost $12,000, so that VCA could proceed with EVERYTHING on the IM vet's list to find out what our furry sick baby was going through. ULCERS...VERY BAD ULCERS was the culprit. Clover is home and my husband and I are her new nurses and following instructins from Dr Curran and her IM team. Trupanion paid the 90 percent of our final bill which was $12,000+ leaving us less thatn $2000 out of pocket.

I am so grateful for this insurance
I am so grateful for this insurance! They have covered us through big claims with our doggie and we've always felt comforted knowing that we actually have an insurance that works with us and not against us as some insurance companies make you feel. It's so easy to submit a claim and customer support has always been very helpful to answer our questions to the best of their ability. Embrace has the best costumer service. All the representatives I have spoken with have been professional, kind, and very helpful. I also appreciate the follow up emails when submitting a claim. I would definitely use Embrace with all my future pets!

Fast and Easy
After some pricey oral surgery for our 8 year old Golden Retriever who fractured a tooth, we filed our 1st significant claim with Healthy Paws. The process was very straight forward. We just uploaded the invoices and the medical report our vet gave us. We were impressed with how fast the claim was handled and reimbursement was received. They even followed up asking how our dog was recovering. We are so thankful we had the insurance with Healthy Paws! After this experience, we would definitely recommend them.

Professional, courteous, results oriented customer service
I had some complicated issues I created in my policy and claims. My phone call was answered by a routing choice which was easy and then routed in a timely manner to a person. They immediately understood my issues and resolved them for me. It has been a long, long time since I had such a professional, courteous, results experience.

Easy Claim Process
The claim submission process was easy, basically just taking a picture of the vet bills. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took longer than I anticipated to process the claim...about 3-4 weeks. This may be because it was my first claim with them, not sure.

Pretty good service
My cat got very sick and required emergency care and hospitalization. I had to send in the records from my vet a couple of times because they kept requesting them and saying they didn’t get them. Otherwise it was very much the service they advertised. I was reimbursed quickly once they finally received the records. Unfortunately my cat passed away at the end of the ordeal but I will continue to insure my dog with Pets Best.
