Love Healthy Paws!

have had healthy PAWS pet insurance for over 3 years I got it right before I purchased my goldendoodle puppy. Unfortunately he has a lot of health issues mainly skin itching, chronic ear infections, and digestive issues. Healthy paws has been fantastic with what they cover and how quickly they reimburse. They even now and then check in to see how your dog is feeling! Highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Difficult process to get reimbursed

It was a difficult process to get reimbursed for my Pet's surgery. The Clinic was also frustrated as you asked several times for paperwork they had already provided. So, the experience was not good.

They have debited my bank 5 times

I’ve had fetch over a year, paid them every month just like I was supposed to and then I had a change and needed to cancel the policy. I did that through the app on January 15 I believe, but it did not go through and I did not notice until March 4 which happened to be my birthday, I noticed that there was actually two charges on there so I called Fetch and explained to them that this was supposed to have been canceled that I knew I couldn’t get February back but if we could please do something about March and they did, she said that she sent a ticket to accounting so that I could get refunded for the payment that was taken on the second and on 4 March , then she sent me an email verifying that the account was closed about three hours later I received an additional debit from my account from Fetch, so I called Fetch again, and they told me that it was a glitch, and that they have never seen anything like it, and that they were going to expedite a ticket to IT , they could not, however give me an answer as to if this was definitely not going to happen again, so I called my bank and my bank stop those charges and ended up having to cancel my debit card. Issue me a new one and I had to pay to have it expedited to me within 24 to 48 hours but the very next day Fetch debited my account again apparently they’re saying it was done through a digital wallet, that I’m not sure of, but I have now been debited a total of five times, Fetch really doesn’t know what’s going on my bank of course is having to wait until the pending charges actually go through so that they can turn around and reverse the charges but here’s my thing, this all seems very illegal, because why is a company holding onto my financial information and charging me days after they verified not once, but twice that the account was closed ? This seems super illegal and I’m very unhappy and I’m very confused as to how any of this is even happening.

Untrustworthy and Obnoxious

From my experience they will do whatever it takes to avoid covering what they should, no matter how small. Wasted hours on the phone talking to people lying about words I'm reading in their emails. They will ignore what the vet writes and manufacture their own diagnosis that is literally the opposite of what the vet said. They will intentionally misinterpret statements to fit whatever narrative they want. From what I can tell, they're simply a scam. Deeply regret giving this company any money. Edit: Embrace's reply to my comment: "We want to be upfront about our coverage and the exclusion of pre-existing conditions which is defined and agreed upon in our terms and conditions as" What they DON'T TELL YOU is if you take your pet in for something that is covered, like an injury, and it shares one single SYMPTOM with something that is excluded, EMBRACE will diagnose your pet with a condition that is not covered. In my case their diagnosis was the exact opposite of what the vet listed. If your pet cuts their paw and limps temporarily as a result, they can and will claim it's a skeletal or muscular condition. This means for the rest of your pet's life they will not be covered for any condition that could cause a limp. Hopefully final edit: I wonder how many of the "unqualified 8%" of claims were qualified until Embrace put on their doctor's hat and fabricated a diagnosis from thin air? When they got tired of lying about my dog's diagnosis they smugly said that if the dog wasn't lame, then they couldn't cover the vet visit anyway, since it was a healthy dog! Not realizing what they'd just admitted to, I jumped at the chance. I told them sure, I'd gladly pay for the visit if it meant they couldn't use it against her for the rest of her life! They then went into backtrack mode immediately. Cancelled my policy. This company is disgusting. For the first time in my life I am disappointed in USAA for recommending these predators to me.

Quick and efficient service.

I had to find pet insurance one that didn't break the bank. Doing comparisons with other insurance companies, Spot insurance has very good coverage. Plus, Reimbursement process for a wellness visit is within 3 days wow, Pretty cool! I just joined and I'm grateful I did. It's the unexpected you worry about especially with a rambunctious, 6 month old pomeranian. LOL.
