They will increase your premiums 30+% Every Year, Year over Year regardless of your pet's age or if they have had any illnesses. By the time I finally cancelled, my 4 year old german shepherd's premium was More expensive than my own health insurance and we Never Used our coverage for a single medical issue. If this were human insurance these rates would be illegal. This is essentially a scam for well-meaning rich people. I would just keep a credit card handy for big vet bills and skip the scam. As a former vet tech, I can tell you that an average emergency vet visit with bloodwork, xrays, and IV therapy/medications to go home will run about $5-800, even with 'low' deductible (and high premium) plan options, you would pay a $500 deductible, plus 10% on top of that, so even with an $800 bill you're still paying $600 of that bill, and unless your pet has Multiple emergency visits or serious surgery in a plan year, you're basically paying $1,000 for a $200 discount, if you use the insurance at all. Don't need to be an accountant to figure that one out. This is just another corporate squeeze to siphon money off of the middle class. Save your money, please.

Too much time complicated
Thankfully I cancel on time my dog is only 4 months and they have been review documents for ever. While I understand their policy. Is to complicated for me and I don’t have time for that and she already have another insurance which is better and already review her pre existing condition. I don’t recommend embrace.

Highly Recommend Healthy Paws
We definitely recommend HealthyPaws Pet Insurance. We used it for years with our Lab who eventually got cancer. HealthyPaws paid for all his surgeries and treatments at 80%, no questions asked. This plan does not include wellness coverage, but that's exactly what we wanted. After many emergencies/surgeries with our dogs, we realized insurance for emergencies and sickness was the way to go. We'll pay for wellness care, but HealthyPaws is there for the emergencies. We just had one! Our new 5-month old puppy ate a sock and needed emergency surgery. HealthyPaws covered everything (except exam) at 80% and the funds were deposited in my checking account the next day.

I worked with Carmen and she was simply WONDERFUL!! She was so kind, and very knowledgeable of the product. She stayed on the phone with me through the entire process. She also followed up with a text the next day with a few reminders (and it was Saturday). Her customer service skills are top notch!!!!

Customer service has gone above and beyond help when needed on previous occasions. I just put in a claim and heard back about approval less than 24 hours. I have been nothing but happy with my service so far and am coming up on a year soon.

Affordable!
I chose a plan inbetween that I can afford which included accident/Illness along with the preventive. I took both babies to get their check up with shots and am very happy with my reimbursement. Payment came back prompt. I did not have to do anything but send the bills in. Spot took care of the rest! Thank you for taking care of us!

Worthwhile investment
We had Trupanion insurance for 11 years until my dog passed away. My dog had many health issues and some years our vet bills were astronomical. Trupanion always processed our claims quickly and the coverage was fair and straightforward. Although the premiums increased significantly over the years the investment was well worth it. However what impressed me most was the way they handled my dog's death. I submitted an invoice for euthanasia and they immediately cancelled my policy, refunded the balance of my last payment and sent a letter expressing their condolences. I didn't even have to make a phone call. Losing a pet is heartbreaking and this company really went above and beyond to make the entire process a little easier. Thank you.

Josh Sabado, was very nice and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions. Mr Sabado was very patient and did not rush me, and then at the end he ask me did I have anymore concerns and have a plasent rest of my week. I feel so much better now know our puppy will have the coverage that she will need, and might need in the future.
