I feel like I paid for insurance that provided absolutely no benefit.
My dog is 5 years old, and since the day it was born I have paid for MetLife Pet Insurance. I had never filed a claim until last month, when my dog developed diarrhea and I took it to the veterinarian. The vet recommended several tests to get an accurate diagnosis, including a pancreatic blood test. When I submitted the bill, I was told that the pancreatic blood test is considered a “routine test.” Really? I’m extremely disappointed. I’ve paid for this insurance for 5 years without ever using it, and now that I finally need it, nothing is covered. This situation is incredibly frustrating. I will be looking for another insurance company, and I definitely will not recommend MetLife Pet Insurance to anyone. I feel like I paid for insurance that provided absolutely no benefit.

Filing a claim with Spot is so easy
Filing a claim with Spot is so easy. My claim was reviewed quickly and the direct deposit processed fast too. Having Spot Pet Insurance lessens the anxiety of having to take my pets to the vet. When my cat had to go to the emergency vet, at least I didn’t have to worry about how I was going to cover the cost.

I am still waiting on my reimbursement…
I am still waiting on my reimbursement for a claim I placed 2 weeks ago. I called and was told it could take up to 14 "business" days to receive my reimbursement. My smaller claims in the past I received in 2-3 days, but because this is over $100 my guess is they are looking for a reason to deny it. Either way, 14 business days to receive your reimbursement is an exceptionally long time, in my opinion to wait, especially if you are on a budget.

Overall
Overall, good customer service, however, the insurance was for my folks’ parents’ pets. They are older and have a challenging time working with technology and I helped them with that. As go telephone services, it would have been nice if it were made easier to get contact with a Spanish speaker easier.

Quick and easy claim
Recently my dog Cash was diagnosed with IVDD which required immediate emergency surgery. I was able to file his claim and received reimbursement in a timely manner. It was such a stressful situation but the claims process was so quick and easy it was one less stress.

Smooth claim process
Smooth claim process: We have had pet insurance for several years and submitted out first large bill. I feel they were fair in what they allowed for reimbursement. It was quick and easy to submit the claim and it was finalized fast. I just hope that my rate is not increased after this.
