Pet insurance
I was interested in a catastrophic pet insurance policy. I can handle the yearly planned stuff but not an auto wreck with my three border collies. so I wanted to cover a big ticket items and am ok with high deductible and cover all my dogs. They had the best policy for multiple dog with higher deductible but went up to cover everything if something occurred and involved multiple dogs. Hopefully I will never need it but I wanted to make sure I would never have to choose euthanasia because the cost to treat was too high.

Trupanion, you're the best
You've been there every step of the way. You've helped raise Maggie since she was 10 weeks old and she'll soon e 13 years old. We couldn't ask for a better partner in raising Maggie and helping keep her as healthy as possible as she ages. Thank you so much.

Best choice!
Quick and reliable payment as well as a great explanation of how it was processed. Best decision we made when we got our pup.

Simple and easy claim experience
Simple and easy claim experience. One claim paid same day. The second claim required more information from my vet, but I was kept informed throughout the process.

Insurance worthless if problems are found to be congenital
If the problems your pet is presenting with are found out to be from congenital issues you can kiss the several thousand goodbye that you just spent to find that out. But even worse than that, if you have an insurance company that is unresponsive after the claim is denied, runs when you want to discuss it and doesn't respond to requests to be heard, then you must have Pets Best. Be smart and avoid them; go with another company. Your pet and you deserve a more effective partner in your pet's health.

The conversation with the person was great.
The conversation with the person was great. She was very professional and I appreciated her help. My concern is that the company labeled my dogs symptoms with something that has now been deemed a preexisting condition with no other proof than the symptoms. They are saying that her ear infections, which has NOT reoccurred was a symptom of something larger. When my husband brought my dog in for a discoloration on her skin I was worried about and asked certain questions, no regard was taken for the fact that when I discussed same things with the vet, my answers were different. Problem is my husband doesn't know why a question is being asked and therefore most of his answers were yes and no. There was no clarifying information at the time of the question so that he could make an informed response. So the insurance company has taken those responses and made a judgement call. I think there needs to be more scientific proof of a condition before you label it. Also I am not sure why her upcoming spay surgery isn't covered. One of the things people get insurance for is to t help be responsible pet parents and for insurance to not help with an important health benefit for the dog is in my eyes against that. Its not the person on the end of the phones fault. She did a great job spending the time to go through the records and getting answers for my questions and being respectful of my point of view. I just don't know I would have gotten insurance in the first place for these reasons no matter which company I went through. I am considering dropping the insurance and just starting a savings account to save up for things.
