Working alright despite creating false expectations
This is replacing a previous 2 star review as I finally received information that is clearer than the website and had a claim processed. As long as they do not raise my rates next year as penalty for my puppy's illness, I will likely continue on with them. Cons: -The chat feature on website is for show only and should be removed. It is false advertising for a service they don't offer. -The website states that claims process in 5-10 days. This is not true. Some claims can take up to 30 days, which someone on the phone verified and which is buried in fine print somewhere. The website should be updated reality to allow for realistic expectations and save time calling customer service when claims don't process within 10 days. -When I used the contact form on the website, I never received a reply. Again, features that are not in use should be removed. -I have wellness coverage but this is not marked anywhere in my account materials or policy documents. I had to call to make sure I actually have it. -There is no way to opt out of receiving paper EOB statements, which is environmentally wasteful since that information is emailed and available in the online portal. -They contacted my vet and asked for my puppy's medical records, which was odd because I've already uploaded all of her medical history since she was in rescue before I got her. They did not send me a notice that I was missing documents. It gave me the impression they were trying to find a way to invalidate my claims. Pros: -All of my claims have been processed without a dispute, even if it took a month for larger claims. -The call center workers are always kind and helpful. -It is relatively easy to submit documents online. -Getting reimbursements over PayPal is fast and simple.

I strongly advise against choosing Trupanion for pet insurance. As a Trupanion client for nearly four years, I've had two cats covered by their policies, each costing over $80 per month. Unfortunately, my experience with Trupanion has been disappointing. Despite making claims for vet expenses, I received little to no reimbursement. It seems that Trupanion goes to great lengths to avoid paying out for expenses, citing various reasons for non-coverage. In essence, Trupanion seems more focused on collecting premiums than fulfilling their obligation to assist with veterinary costs, leaving pet owners to bear the financial burden alone.

Have never used pet insurance before Spot
Have never used pet insurance before. Even over the years paying for it for my dog, I did not need it. But in the end when it counted most and I needed it; Spot Pet Insurance came through with flying colors. They took care of everything and making a claim was so easy. And when all was said and done, they even called me to offer their condolences for my loss. THAT'S Amazing!

I was skeptical at first but my experience with them changed my impression. My cat had to do an emergency surgery, and it costed us a fortune. We filed the claim, and we received the reimbursement within 4 days without any hassle. Trust their process and you are in good hands.

100% happy as always with customer care, coverage
I've always had excellent customer service with pets plus us. All staff super friendly & knowledgeable. They also helped me Navigate an easier way to submit my claims through the portal. Super patient with my limited experience. Very fast turn around.
Scammers, unfair, claims never go through
Very unfortunate to have to write this review. Embrace Insurance's #1 job is to find ways to deny your insurance claim. Found this out the hard way. This shady business will find every single possible reason and scrape the scum of the earth to decline your insurance claim. I can't believe how unreasonable they are. I have never ever came close to getting any reimbursements despite working with our vicenarians, providing all documentations, AND even getting a formal letter from our vetenarian. These guys are nuts. Total scammers!
