Tricky insurance better to read the policy first!!! They don’t pay back for spay or neuter. Something important for dogs.

Excellent coverage and customer service
I am so happy that I decided to purchase pet insurance for my two dogs. While, we always hope to keep our dogs healthy with regular check-ups sometimes accidents happen. Such a thing happened with my 3-year old cocker spaniel. She and my other dog got into a bottle of Advil. The cocker ate some and was very sick. I had to rush her to emergency vet and the two night three day stay was quite expensive. Met Life paid my claim within two weeks and reimbursed most of the claim (less deductible). I'm grateful that I have Met Life Ins or I may have had to make the decision to put my dog down over an accident. I am now a loyal customer for life!

Three fold premium increase in 1 year
As a long-time customer, I have been a loyal advocate for Fetch since my dog was just a few months old. I've consistently paid premiums for his coverage, trusting Fetch to be there when he needed medical care and paying the gradually increasing rate willingly. Unfortunately, the recent underwriter change has resulted in a three-fold increase in his premium over one year, due to his age and chronic condition, making the insurance cost prohibitive for me to use to help in his older years and the imminent health concerns that come with aging. This change feels particularly unfair given my loyalty and the positive experiences I've had with Fetch previously. I've historically recommended their company to numerous friends and family members and even opted to enroll my second, perfectly healthy dog, with Fetch despite lower introductory rates offered by other companies. However, this recent premium hike at a time when insurance is needed most, makes me question the long-term value of Fetch's policies and integrity as a company. I understand that every company needs to make a profit but I find this predatory. It seems that when a pet truly needs coverage, the costs become prohibitive, which I feel all dog owners should be aware of before considering enrolling with this company. In response to Fetch's reply- A percentage increase is reasonable and expected; however, triple the cost from year to year, is not. Especially in a dogs older years, when owners are more limited on options. It’s predatory. Future purchasers should be aware and consider other companies strongly.

inappropriate approval amounts on the web site
I agree with the previous 1 star reviews. I have had nothing but excuses for the claims filed with this insurance. I have called my attorney so that this insurance would change their website, so that the claim which states it is approved is actually not the amount that is approved. first you have the deductible, then you have the 90% reimbursement, and then there is a 10% reduction and finally you have to meet the $1,000.00 dollar deductible. I have spent well over that amount and there excuse for not paying any part of that is that we don't pay for "consults" even though the consult is specifically shown to provide the diagnosis of the illness. All I can say is that they don't provide adequate illustrations of what is actually covered, and it is not only frustrating, but they charge so much for it. And, Oh boy, just miss a payment to them! they are on you to make sure that they get paid. Wouldn't it be nice to have insurance that actually does something for the beloved pet that you have. So, on my claim status it shows the whole amount of the invoice. But! with all the %'s taken away you don't get the approved amount. you only get a percentage of that amount, except it doesn't show that. It's frustrating that you don't get to see what is actually covered, because they don't want you to know what is actually covered, Oh yes see in the policy what it is that is covered and not covered. but when it comes to the web site, you have to try to figure out what is the actual amount that is applied to the deductible. Now I want to cancel the policy after the company charged the monthly billing! but there is no place where you can do it on the web site.

Claim processing is very fast
Claim processing is very fast. No sweat at all. Our lovely cat started vomiting a month ago, and our vet did several tests on him, blood work, X-ray, Ultrasound, we saved a lot after deductible.
