My cat had to have emergency surgery to remove a sharp foreign object lodged in hi eyeball. Thank goodness I have Embrace Pet insurance. This would have been a devastating financial burden for me. My claim was processed quickly and I received my reimbursement within 3 days of approval notification. Highly recommend

Pretty good.
Pretty good. Customer service has always been nice and helpful. I have the wellness plan, for which it reimburses you max $150 per category for a total of $600 per year. It's like an extra ~$35/mo, so $420ish a year. If they were to keep the cap at $600, I wish I can alter the percentage of that since I don't really use the dental (he's still young). Otherwise, I feel like it's not really worth the extra.

Unsatisfied experience in Nebraska
After spending $357 a month to ensure my four dogs I received notification that each dog was going to increase by at least $20 per dog per month. So I decided I was going to change insurance companies. The final straw was that I had them in for their wellness check on 5/14/24 which I have insurance for. After a $4000 vet bill for all of my dogs because I purchased all of their heartworm and flea and tick for the year for all four dogs plus I had to have a couple ancillary things done I only received reimbursement of $197.80 for one dog $347.82 for the next dog and for the two youngest that are only one year I only received $237. After calling and speaking with someone in claims on 6/14/24 I was given a lot of excuses no satisfaction. This I believe is because they have a new underwriter for the company and they don’t want to reimburse the way they used to. That’s a shame Spot insurance used to be one of the good ones.

Mistake on medical review has left me in debt
I truly hate leaving bad reviews but I feel this experience should be stated so others don’t go through what I did. I got a medical review done for my dog to identify preexisting conditions as I wanted to get a dental procedure done but knew I would not be able to handle the bill on my own. They mentioned a few knee problems as preexisting conditions and nothing else so I felt confident I would have their financial support. Over a month later, they saddled me with the entirety of a 2.2k bill saying that periodontal disease was a preexisting condition. I tried to get the claim appealed since it wasn’t mentioned in his medical review and all they said was “sorry it should have been included.” Now i’m left with a huge bill that i’m not sure how i’ll pay for. I felt completely abandoned and no accountability was taken for their mistake
