Well worth the switch
Our two senior large dogs are insured through MetLife, previously with Pets Best (which I’ve also reviewed favorably). Everything takes about 1.5 times as long with MetLife, but after the initial pains of transferring over documentation, I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Claims are clearly and cleanly processed, and any questions along the way can be quickly addressed with a simple phone call. After the switch, our dogs have a much more generous policy at an even lower cost.

Tibia Fracture in my Senior Cat
I Had to take my 16year boy to a Board Certified Surgeon to have a fracture repair which is very costly. approximately $7000. It was hard to come up with the funds up front but I managed and got remburssed very quickly!!! I was expexting to have to wait about a month for the funds back but they where much faster and it only took a week!!! This was a HUGE realife as I had to borrow the funds from friends and was able to pay them all back ASAP:) Without pet insurence this would not have been possible at all!!! THANKYOU

Healthy Paws really came through
Our dog had a tumor in a sinus cavity. It was removed by surgery. Without Healthy Paws Insurance we would not have our member of our family that we love so deeply!

The people I talked to were helpful
The people I talked to were helpful. However - waiting over 3 hours for a procedure that was bordering on emergency surgery was tough to deal with. We kept being told 30 minutes and you will have your answer. We have had coverage for years and knew she was covered but really wanted to make sure we covered our bases. I’ve been happy- I just feel that waiting longer could have bad consequences and wonder how things will work out. Once it was verified that we had full coverage we should have been cleared to go ahead.

Easy to use site & reasonable rates
Easy to use site and the past 2 yrs the turnaround time for processing has really gotten better. I never had insurance before I got Jinx and I love it really helps. Rates per month reasonable I hope they remain reasonable.

Good at denying claims only……
This company has a great facade & facade only. Our dog had a preexisting issue with allergy issues and no matter what the claim, guess what - denied as preexisting. Even had an emergent claim with a resulting wound, a high fever which all resulted in sub q fluids, antibiotics and steroid Tx for the “infection” that “embrace” then deemed in their eyes to be allergic issues…?? We cancelled this joke of a policy, spare yourself the grief & seek coverage elsewhere, especially if you have a pet with anything that could be remotely considered preexisting as you’ll get screwed. Now a past embrace customer……..
