Grateful to have pet insurance
I am a disabled veterinarian that has had embrace for over 5 years. I've had over 30k in claims, for 2 animals with cancer and chemotherapy, and a blocked cat -never mind routine vomiting and lameness issues. I am comforted that I never have to turn down recommended diagnostics or treatments, and embrace has never declined a claim. Their employees have always been great to work with.

Disrespect for existing customers
I’ve had a policy with Fetch for two years now. I’m giving two stars because their reimbursement process is fair and we’ve not had major issues. Honestly, I always thought that if that part is fine, what else could be wrong with an insurance company. Keep reading… The company has a serious lack of respect for its existing customers. With the first renewal, the premium went up by over 10%. I wrote to them but they said it was take it or leave it. I get it, it’s their price and I bite the bullet. Now, this year, they sent me a renewal notice with significant different terms (reduced the coverage from 90% to 70%), and there is no option to go back to 90%. They are still selling the policy with 90% coverage to new users, but I don’t get it for renewing. Seems quite unfair. This should not be acceptable to anyone. There are many companies out there and I’m not sticking with one that dictates their terms on me. UPDATE: Fetch mentioned that claims can affect the changes. Well, I've had ZERO claims in the last year, so that's not only irrelevant but also incorrect. It's obviously a canned response, because it's pasted twice. Reducing this to one star due to this extremely poor response.

Easy Claim Filing, Reasonable Prices, Good Coverage-2 paws up!
This is the most affordable pet insurance available for the coverage one gets. I have both a dog and cat covered now with a very low deductible and 90% reimbursement. My first claim went through wonderfully. I also have the optional wellness coverage so getting paid back for all the vaccines, wellness exams, and medications, is always a plus! I shopped around prior to signing up and found this company was cheaper than SPOT. My work offered a discount for SPOT but Pets Best was still cheaper. As long as you have your vet send you your bills or give you a paper copy so you can scan, and you get your own vet records, no need to worry if the vet isn't sending records directly to Pet's Best, you can do it yourself! Easy claims process, easy form uploads, and prompt email communication. My cat and dog give them 2 paws up, so I guess that's 4 paws!

This is the first time I have ever bought insurance for my pets. But when I recently had an emergency with my dog, I just sent copies of the invoices and Spot responded within a couple days. It is faster and easier than my own private insurance.

Denies everything
All around bad experience. The app is convenient but has many glitches. However customer service was very responsive which is why they’re getting 2 stars instead of 1. But overall bad insurance experience clearly out for a profit instead of actually providing ease of mind. So much work obtaining and uploading records only to get minimal reimbursement or complete denial. When I had an actual problem visit to use the insurance with it was denied because my vet’s documentation “wasn’t sufficient”?! Like any vet would go and re-write an entire visit and add unnecessary details to hopefully get a few bucks back…
