Trupanion is a solid, good and empathetic insurance provider
We recently lost our beloved Charlie to hemangiosarcoma. It was an awful time, and we were absolutely devastated. Trupanion was involved with the claim, and I had to speak with them on the phone over a few things. The girl I spoke with was empathetic, kind and I could tell she really cared. I have used this company for the past 5 years. Their processing is fast, and fair. They take a lot of stress out of very stressful situations. Their reporting is excellent. Thank you Trupanion.

Better than the best!
I chose the 250 deductible with 100% reimbursement. I have a puppy that has just turned 16mo old. He is a car crash waiting to happen. My vet calls him my Pinto. (Remember Ford's fix or repair daily car?)I have filed quite a few claims for everything from toxicity to seizures; ear infections to intestinal issues and not once has there even been a question. Two hospital stays and repeat tests from his regular vet. My pup has been a handful with his health since the day I brought him home but he is awesome. He is soooo good and I want him to have the best and with ManyPets, he gets it. Fast payment with no hassels. It ia a great insurance.

(Un)Trupanion - Next Level Scam Artistry
After 14 years of paying significant premiums with this company, I recently found out they were charging me almost double because my spayed female cat (named Marilyn) was mis-categorized as male. This resulted in significantly higher premiums over the course of 14 years. The company now refuses to reimburse any of the extra fees paid, claiming it was my fault for not noticing their error. Every single dealing with this company has been a battle. You are expected to be an expert-level diagnostician when making a claim, as virtually all issues are considered as 'new', meaning you will be subject to always paying your deductible, even if a condition was related to a previous claim. Every which way, this company has skewed things to their massive advantage. You don't stand a chance. The ONLY reason I am still with them is that after 14 years, I may actually be coming close to getting my premium coverage worth. Close. But what a struggle. They are masters at changing the game whenever it suits them/disadvantages you. Would never recommend them again.

DO NOT USE METLIFE
Ask your veterinarian for insurance providers that they have heard good reviews from their other patients. I sure wish I had done that before signing up with Metlife pet insurance! Spent hundreds of dollars and hours of time and could not get any of my specific questions answered.

Just signed up. Seems unethical to charge a premium during the wait period when there’s no coverage yet. And the wait period should only be a couple of days to prevent people from getting insurance after an accident happens. I’m worried something will happen to our dog during the 15 days of waiting.
