Strongly recommend
Our ten year old Yorkie has been covered by Healthy Paws since age 2. She had no significant health problems until age 8 when she was diagnosed with pancreatitis, diabetes, a pyloric mass and IBD all within one year. She had no less than 6 hospital admissions in 2022. I'm grateful to say our baby has since been stable and is doing well (still acts like a puppy!) - and we would not have gotten to this point without HP coverage. Her care last year cost over $20k, of which we paid a small fraction. HP continues to assist with coverage of her daily meds, including insulin and supplies. HP strong points: easy filing of claims and fast reimbursement (usually < 4 business days), compassionate and knowledgeable customer service, flexible coverage and deductible plans, and I've never once appreciated resistance from the insurer to cover under the terms of what was outlined in original policy documents. Downsides include having to pay out of pocket upfront, no assistance with preventive care and exam fees (either regular vet visits or ER initial exam fees), but that's minor and I think fair considering what is covered. I saw a review bemoaning the gradual increase in the cost of the plan, but that's expected as a dog ages and/or with the development of new medical problems. Our plan has gradually increased a mere $100 since enrollment, which seems reasonable considering how much HP has saved us in medical expenses. So, in short: strongly recommend.

Peace of mind after my tragic loss
I randomly decided to get Pet Insurance in January after I got my dogs teeth cleaned. Little did I know she would tragically get very sick quickly and ended up passing away suddenly in June of the same year. There was a lot of testing done prior to her passing and it wasn't cheap. I was unsure how much the insurance would pay even though I knew I got one of the best plans. It was a peace of mind having a really good payout from all the painful expenses we had to pay after we lost her. I am grateful I randomly decided to get Pet's Best. I plan on signing up again when I'm ready to adopt another sweet dog someday.

So I again contacted Embrace
So I again contacted Embrace. They said “due to the fact that the first vet records have still not been obtained we will consider your pets condition as pre-existing”. What a crock, they have all of his records and he was not adopted from a reputable breeder with a stellar record with a broken foot that happened to show up a year and two months later. Stay away from Embrace. I have been a customer of USAA for over 22 years and they have done a horrible thing adding Embrace to their benefits list. I have now started using Spot Pet Insurance - listed by Forbes as the best. Ironically Embrace is number 10 on their list.

Easy, no-hassle claims
Easy, no-hassle claims. Just submitted the documentation for my pet in the portal and it was reviewed and adjusted without incident or nitpicks - a problem I faced with virtually every claim through my last provider, despite having coverage on my pets since they were <6 months old.

1st time submitting a claim
Once I learned what a SOAP note was and got that filed the claim was relatively easy. Two phone calls and both reps were pleasant and fun to work with.
Reliable Company
I’ve had a couple claims with Fetch. They process claims quickly & pay quickly. They were for minor medical issues, but I never felt the company was trying to figure out how not to pay like many insurance companies seem to do. We haven’t had to deal with a major medical issue with our 2 year old Westie (and hope we never do), but we’re very happy with Fetch so far

Extremely slow to process claims
Extremely slow to process claims. Stated when filing that the average claim processing time was 3-4 weeks. 4 weeks later I get a follow-up email With an apology stating they are working on claims as fast as they can. I checked today and still has not been processed or even looked at and the processing time has now changed to 35 days. I I'm now unsure if this will be an ongoing issue as an attempt tonot Pay claims. I will follow up on any claim Is processed to see if i can get reimbursed for at least a portion of the bill i
