Good coverage. Steep premium increases.
I am very happy with the coverage and ease of filing a claim. However, my premiums have now increased 45% on a 2 year old insurance policy for a dog that is less than 3. That’s pretty steep and a poor business practice, in my opinion. People will either cancel the policy or make more trips to the vet to justify the cost of coverage. The claim reimbursement is also now taking considerably longer than when I first took out the policy. Pretty typical, more money for less service. Not sure how much longer I’ll keep the policy. At a certain point you might as well just put what you’d pay in premiums, into a savings account to cover expenses and have your own insurance policy. At least that way if you don’t need treatment for your pet, you’re not throwing your money away. I understand it’s a business that needs to make a profit, but a 45% increase in just 2 years is a bit absurd. If the upward trend in premium costs continue at this rate, I’ll most likely cancel the policy. If not, at this rate of increase, I could end up spending over $30K in premiums (not factoring in a $250 deductible and the co-pay) on a dog with a life expectancy of around 13 years. Quite the gamble.

The insurance company responds quickly to the Vet submissions for my pug. And they immediately confirm the receipt of the claim, by email. The claim result is also very quickly reported by email. Within a few days, the corresponding check arrives! I've had no issues.

No hassle pet insurance
We got spot pet insurance two years ago when we got a new puppy. Unfortunately she has a heart issue, but spot has been great, they've reimbursed us quickly and without issue. It is easy to submit and track claims. I've never had to contact customer service because I've never had any problems with them. I would recommend spot pet insurance.

Pretty Simple
Pretty simple. First time I’ve had to file a claim, but I just started a claim on the app, uploaded pictures of the invoice, and submitted. Few days later I got an email they were requesting documents from the doctor’s office, a few days after that I got the reimbursement for the bill minus the deductible.
