So far our frenchie has not had any issues (who knew) so we really haven't experienced any large claims. Just standard stuff that they have honored. It has been easy to submit claims and payments are automatic.

They have been fair and responisve. I had one claim and they reimbursed me a fair part and the teeth cleaning I had done for Odie had a 150 dollar allowance for Teeth cleaning when I added the Platinum rider. SO yeah. Spot pet insurance is legit and they are a great company to deal with. I hope I will never need them for major diseases/illnesses but if I do, I am glad I chose this company! Thanks, Brian and Odie.

Double check your coverage amounts when signing up.
With our last dog the coverage and service was amazing. With our new dog, I started with a higher deductible by mistake. I called to make changes and you can NEVER make a change unless it’s to up your coverage. So basically nothing is covered for this dog which is a bummer. When I was talking to the rep she mentioned I could switch insurance companies but everything she’s been treated for so far would be considered “pre-existing” and not covered somewhere else.

I couldn’t imagine being a pet owner…
I couldn’t imagine being a pet owner without metlife pet insurance! It makes the cost an after thought and allows me to keep my dog happy and healthy and not worry about the price of treatment. Payment is reimbursed to me within days. It’s so easy to take a picture of the invoice and upload it. All pros no cons!
