I bought pet insurance for two cats, but Embrace would not approve due to vet note format...had to be SOAP notes. Notes were comprehensive so I insured with another company.

Increased rates 35%in 2 years, healthy dog
Increased rates 35% over two years on a dog in perfect health. Not a single claim. He’s only 3yo. I called and asked for an explanation. They lied about “pricing is what it is as it’s a highly regulated industry…” They parroted lines used for humans insurance that are not at all applicable to dogs insurance. Gross. Switched to another company.

The simple claims process helped us
Losing our dog to cancer was very sad. It would have been difficult to complete to claims forms if the process had been complicated. Embrace made the process simple and offered condolences. We miss our boy very much, but taking care of details without extra steps and with kindness makes the difficult situation a little easier.

What is the benefit of having a policy?
$130 dollars a month, finally submit a claim, and denied with no explanation? My dog needs injections. Now paying $130 for insurance and $100 for each injection. What is the point of having this at all? What is actually covered? Extremely unclear. Certainly will not remain a member and would never recommend to anyone else. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

They do not respond to emails I sent…
They do not respond to emails I sent several never got a response. I finally had to call to cancel the policy. I got the policy and sent all my dogs bloodwork he had nothing wrong. He was acting funny so I went to another Dr to see if there was anything wrong. It was a diagnostic test. Still came back no issues currently other than a heart murmur. They refused to pay for the diagnostic test and told me any and everything that they were testing for if it ever became wrong with him they wouldn’t pay for that either. He

Quick, easy process
Our dog started feeling ill and we made some vet visits and got some tests done. Spot was quick to review the claim, get what they needed from the vet and process the claim. They didn't give us the run around or cause us any headaches. It was surprisingly easy.
