If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would! Think twice and run the other way is the advice I would give anyone and everyone about Sonnet Insurance. At first I felt impressed and loved their straightforward / transparent process. I felt hopeful that finally there could be a trustworthy insurance company (an oxymoron). Did not take too long to see their true colours. I wanted to switch my insurance to a new home I would be renting and found out they would not insure the new home as it came with a risk (due to a fire it had previously). I got no conversation about this, no attempt to help me figure out how to obtain insurance, or any care whatsoever. The answer was - we can't do anything to help you! The agent literally told me to go find another insurance company!! Exact words!!! His explanation was - it is a risk and we can't help you. He could not explain the risk or elaborate on it. I asked if the property is a "risk" then why would Sonnet not just put a higher premium on it and try to maintain my business. Rep glossed over and didn't even try to answer. His go to answer was that Sonnet can't help me. They wouldn't even try! I expressed how disappointed I was in them and even asked why they would not work with me on figuring this out - the rep did not care in the least. Ignored my attempts to discuss. So, I have found other insurance now and will soon be cancelling remaining insurance with Sonnet and will never glance their way again. Imagine what they would be like if you had a claim? Just terrible, terrible, terrible. There are SO many options, including Brokers who will help you find the right insurance and compare companies and policies for and with you. Don't be fooled by Sonnet's ease and user-friendly online functions. Make the effort to find the best you can. Sonnet is NOT it!

I am relatively new to Pets Best and so far I am happy with our decision. We signed our 4 year old shiba and 2 year old shiba during the summer and it was super easy and I think pretty affordable. My dogs have always been in great health and I thought better late than never. I just received a reimbursement from one of our vet trips and I am pleasantly surprised how much they covered and I am grateful that I decided to go with Pets Best for pet insurance. I only gave them 4 stars for now because I have not been with them for very long (3 months).

I was happy that my claim was processed quickly and that the insurance did not contest the treatment for our very sick cat who, happily has recovered.

I submitted a claim on Thursday evening and got my reimbursement by the following Tuesday! Now that was fast!! I accidentally opened a second policy instead of adding to current policy and the staff has been very helpful in getting my claims in the correct policy. That’s been a huge relief! Thank you to everyone for their continued help and support

Every email I sent went unanswered
Every email I sent went unanswered , and I made sure to email the correct email. A normal vet visit was denied on a claim. I would say embrace is only worth it if you have a young healthy pet otherwise they will find a way to relate every visit to a preexisting condition

We have had healthy paws insurance for…
We have had healthy paws insurance for 25 years of dogs (cats before that) -- that's 6 dogs (sometimes we had 2) -- who had 4 bouts of cancer, epilepsy, poisonous spider bites, 2 dogs had to have double TPLO's. Healthy Paws has been, and will be, our coverage choice. Folks you need to read the policy and decide if this coverage is right for you or not. They cover: "With a Healthy Paws plan, you can be reimbursed up to 90% of your vet bills for these unexpected incidents. Coverage includes emergencies, hereditary or congenital conditions , cancer, and chronic conditions. Healthy Paws offers one simple plan that provides you and your pet with no caps on claim payouts." As the policy holder YOU get to choose the level of coverage you want, and YOUR deductible. True, they don't cover the vet exam nor wellness visits. Some insurance does, but you as the consumer make that choice. Pick a policy that covers wellness, if you like. As far as I know this is the only coverage that has NO annual or life time cap. To me this is what insurance is for -- the catastrophes that you can't, and didn't, plan for. This has worked for us. The wellness kinds of visit are part of owning a pet and need to be factored in when you consider if having a pet, which includes vaccines, food, wellness, etc. You can choose to modify the cost of coverage by adjusting your % coverage and your deductible. There are other plans out there that are more "wellness" oriented. There are cheaper policies out there who have annual and/or life time caps on pay out. HealthyPaws does not have either of these.
