Misused preexisting condition clause to unethically deny claim
Updated- Please Review My Personal Experience In my personal experience, it appears that the company in question prioritizes collecting payments rather than fulfilling their obligations to cover veterinary bills. The persistent efforts to dispute every aspect of coverage can be draining and ultimately not worth the hassle. When a company requires intervention to adhere to its own policies, it raises concerns about their credibility and reliability. If they resist a minor claim, it calls into question their commitment to honoring more significant claims in the future. In my case, the company distorted a simple claim, disregarded the trial period, and created a preexisting condition after the coverage started 2 weeks later to deny a legitimate reimbursement for a veterinary exam. Despite medical documentation not supporting their claim, they persisted in their refusal. Following an appeal and adjustments to my coverage, I have taken steps to assert my rights and hold the company accountable for their actions. For me, this is not simply a matter of cost but of principle. I refuse to pay for a service that requires excessive effort and excessive intervention for basic reimbursements. Integrity and adherence to policy should be the cornerstone of any insurance provider, not just friendly customer service. In conclusion, actions speak louder than words, and I expect my insurance provider to uphold their commitments with transparency and integrity.

To the Executive Leadership of Pets Best, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my claim for my pet, Hurley. It has been over a month since I filed the claim, and the lack of action from your claims department is unacceptable. Despite multiple communications with your managers, there has been no progress, leaving me in a dire financial situation that is now threatening to ruin my credit. I demand immediate action to expedite the processing of my claim. The continued delay is intolerable and reflects poorly on your company’s commitment to customer service and reliability. This situation has caused significant financial strain, and your inaction is completely inexcusable. I expect a resolution to this matter within 48 hours. If it is not addressed promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate this issue further through legal avenues and public platforms. Consider this your final notice. Terribly Difficult
If you submit an accident or illness claim, they make it terribly difficult to get it approved. They will request for all previous vet records, which is fair, but if they don't understand them in the slightest they will tell you that there are parts "missing" and they will be closing your claim. You'll then have to argue that things are not missing, and they'll simply reopen it. After that, if there is you're filing anything even remotely related to what your animal has experienced before, they will deny you. Your cat chipped a tooth in the past and now has problems with their gums? Pre-existing condition: denied. Your dog broke their back leg and now they broke their front leg? Pre-existing condition: denied. On top of that, they say that "if your animal goes 18 months without being seen or experiencing symptoms of a condition, it will be removed from the list of not-cover conditions". That's a lie, they don't do that. I'm still being denied claims despite it being years since certain conditions. Don't waist your time

It’s hard to put into words how a company serves its customers, especially when communicating is difficult and time consuming. The employees were very friendly, but hampered by electronic glitches and time constraints. I appealed a decision not to deny my dogs treatment twice and they did finally reimburse me for the services to which I am grateful. There must be a better way to apply and process applications.
