Absolutely Worth it
Absolutely Worth it! Although I wish it covered emergency Consults, and the HIGH Ontario Taxes, but in the end having Trupanion is worth every penny. It takes just 1 incident/illness for your baby, that could be thousands of dollars. This may leave you with a terrible choice in whether or not you can save your furbaby if you do not have insurance or the funds to make life saving decisions. With Trupanion, you get peace of mind knowing that they are always there to help and you can give your pet the best Vet care, specialist care, medicines, tests they need without the worry of massive costs out of pocket. If your vet doesn't direct bill to Trupanion, just talk with them about it, have Trupanion even call them. There will always be out of pocket costs, but having insurance definitely relieves much of the financial burden, allowing you to give your pet the very best care when they need it most. 24/7 they are there, and their knowledgeable team is always friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I am so happy to have both my kids covered! I've incurred a few major extraordinarily expensive situations with my kids, and absolutely life saving decisions were made, only because I have Trupanion. If not for them and the coverage, I could not have helped my kids when they truly needed it. I would have had to let my girl go in April, just a few weeks after I had lost my boy to HSA. Trupanion saved her life!

Zero Stars!!! Find Another company
Zero Stars!!!! Submitted first major claim for teeth cleaning and tooth extract because it was cracked. my dog is a heathy 4yr mix and all up to date with yearly check ups and shots. The adjuster told me there was a remark in his history prior to the service starting that a vet had marked he had minor tartar but that was not his normal vets office but we went there for an emergency. I called my normal vet and asked if they ever noted a tarter issue and they said no as they would have talked to me about it. I have been paying monthly for a premium plan and thinking this will help for any major issues but when it came time to pay they came up b.s. to not pay out. I will be moving to another company ASAP.

First claim/first time with insurance experience-
I am new to having pet insurance . The claims were super easy to do . I was worried it would be hard to do since drop down boxes for your claim. The process was so easy… they were so fast with reviewing the claim and the money was in my account in a few days. I did have questions about my policy and a claim for surgery I was going to have to make. I called the customer service line. I didn’t have to wait and the woman helping me was so helpful and kind (and patient ) bc I had soooo many questions . I was alittle skeptical starting my first claim but the experience I had was amazing . ( I don’t normally do reviews but always look at them but wanted to write one so I can help someone who is reading this) During a super stressful time with my dog needing surgery this part of the process was so easy and no stress . 10/10 recommend

Highly disappointed in this company
Highly disappointed in this company. 5 claims were submitted and they covered only 1. They claimed "pre-existing condition" and denied the whole claim instead of covering what was NOT pre-existing. No one even tried to contact me.

The only problem is getting through to…
The only problem is getting through to you. I am a person who needs to talk with someone, when I have a problem understanding or getting my phone to cooperate. I finally found the phone # , but I feel It should be given clearly and in several places. "You can contact us..." More than on line, text or email. When I did get through I was so happy 😊 and thankful for the helpful information I received; that would have been distressful for me to get it any other way. My portal in great. Love all updates ❣️ Have not been able to use the insurance, yet. But I feel confident with ASPCA. I LOVE MY DOG. A BLESSING FROM GOD ✝️ So is ASPCA!😊
