Fetch, no longer good experience

I have updated from 2 stars to 3 stars. Fetch gave somewhat of an explanation for the delay, and they paid as promised. But this number they gave me to call is the one I have been using. I am giving them another chance and not canceling my policy. I they get all their upgrades completed and not causing anymore headaches for policy holders. Reply from Fetch Pet Insurance Hello Elaine, we are so sorry for your frustration. We are in the process of upgrading our systems and some claims are taking longer to process during this time. To speak with a live agent that will be able to help you call us at 866.509.0163 and select option 5. WHY COULD'T THEY HAVE JUST TOLD ME THAT INSTEAD OF GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND? In the past year I had been very happy with Fetch, I recommend them to friends, as they always did what they promised to. In January 2024 I wrote a very favorable review on Fetch. Now at the end of the 1st year policy, I began having problems with them. They usually take 2 weeks to review and paid within 2 weeks. I submitted a claim on 09/17/24, I heard nothing from them until the day after I paid my next year's policy which went from $350. to $964, which I expected as they have quickly paid a few claims on her as promised. Now they again want records back to her first vet visit 2 years ago. They were given all those records in the past now they wanted them again. My vet office sent them everything, they claim they did not get them. When the vet office had proof, they received them then they found them. But still my account says they want more records. When I call a recording tells me they sent a link for me to submit records, without even talking to anyone. It is now a game of how I can get a live person on the phone. to this date 10/7/24 it still has not be resolved. Seriously thinking of canceling my new year policy.

Prices increased 50%

I've been with Embrace for 4 years and in the spring my monthly charge went up 50%. I finally noticed in October and when I called to question them about it, the reasoning was that vet bills in my ZIP code have gone up. I've been paying my vet bills because my dog's not sick and just needs the normal checkups and vaccines which I didn't have the insurance cover. So I know it hasn't gone up that much. I'm canceling and finding another insurance. I understand the need to increase prices but that was ridiculous.

Never sure the cost of the insurance is…

Never sure the cost of the insurance is worth the reimbursement. After one claim it seems you’ve already reached the $$ amount for certain categories. Would be better if there was an annual limit that is not broken into separate categories. Before next annual renewal I’m going to research other carriers.

Embrace never covered (nearly) any of my claims and I spent $1,000/year and then had to get up to my minimum and I submitted lots & lots of receipts. Beware of them for all of the people who are looking for insurance for their pets.
