We have had Trupanion since we got our dog at 8 weeks old, almost 5 now and it’s the best decision we made. We either save money or break even at the end of year, but the peace of mind is unmatched. File claims is easy and reimbursement is always 1-2 days. We have even needed this when we traveled out of state.

Peace of mind
Thankfully, I haven't had to use the policies for my two Ragdoll cats. So far, the communication and information provided by Trupanion has made me thankful that I chose this company for their coverage. It gives me peace of mind knowing the coverage is there if it's needed!

Pets Best
Great company to provide pet health insurance. I have been a customer of theirs since 2019. They have been always professional and responsible when paying out my claims
Pets Best is truly the best
The entire claims process with Pets Best is simple and efficient. I made the claim the same day as my dog’s appointment. The documents were immediately accepted and under review. Within days, the claim was approved and funds were deposited into my account. Thankful for the seamless process.
No Regrets! AMAZING Experience and also my dog has the IQ of an artichoke..
Just...wow. So we got a lab puppy (ie: a vaccum cleaner with legs that barks) two years ago and remembering how I had to use funds in my 401K for my last pet for a surgery, I immediately purchased Spot Pet Insurance. It wasn't random: I researched, read reviews and thought this one would be best. And then for two years, I never used them. I paid auto deposit every month and just thought I'd be doing this until my blond tornado was 10 or so and needed something replaced (hips, knee, brain...he's a lab). Welp, being as he's a lab, he ate...something. We think a poison toad (he likes to carry frogs in his mouth from one side of the yard to the other and let them go--like a Frog Uber or something). And he got sick. REALLY sick. Like blood all over the carpets and refusing to eat ANYTHING sick (if you've ever had a lab, you understand why the eat refusal is cause for alarm). Our vet saw him and immediately sent him to Emergency Services where he spent most of the weekend. Had we not taken him, he would not have survived. But the bill...it was thousands of dollars. It was the vacation money we planned for next week. So I nervously filed my first claim with Spot, wondering if I would see anything. A week later: 80-percent of my entire bill is direct deposited into my account. All I did was upload the vet bill. No forms, no phone call, no accusations, no arguing, no requests for additional information: just approved immediately and paid immediately. So yeah-Spot gets five stars. I'd give them more but it's not allowed and also my dog would probably eat those too. Anyways--never been so happy to have a bill on auto pay in my life! Saved the day and my credit card! AND--we leave for that vacation in two days!

Denied cancer diagnostic and treatment due to old lump
I have accident/illness care for my French bulldog. A couple of years ago, he was treated for a minor left eyelid mass. Recently, he developed cancer in his right EAR—the complete opposite side of his body and an entirely different body part. Pets Best denied his diagnostic and cancer care, claiming it is a "pre-existing condition." Their policy is written so that if your pet has a single mass removed anywhere, every single mass that occurs for the rest of their life is automatically deemed pre-existing and excluded from coverage. This loophole is devastating when your pet actually needs cancer treatment. It feels like a giant scam designed to avoid paying out when it matters most. Potential buyers beware.

Pets Best coverage is the best!
My cat has HCM and we went for follow up blood work. She was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and combining the claim did not cause any issues with submission. When I first started with Pets Best I was very impressed that I could build my own plan. Have always had great experiences with Pets Best!!
I had to hold for about 25 minutes
I had to hold for about 25 minutes, but Karen helped me very satisfactorily when we did connect. She listened, helped, and was very competent.
