Everyone at GCVS, staff and doctors alike, has been incredible in treating my chihuahua, Jingles who has a very aggressive form of liver cancer rarely seen in dogs. With no treatment protocols to follow, they got aggressive with diagnosing the DNA of the cancer and getting appropriate chemo drugs compounded to treat my little girl. They didn't think she would live beyond 6 months but we are now celebrating two years of living with this cancer. Although I know there is no cure for her, she has tolerated everything very well including two liver surgeries and is a very happy little girl. She has become a favorite at GCVS because of her affectionate and cheerful attitude no matter what she has endured. She's my little miracle girl and I owe it all to GVCS Unwilling to throw in the towel, they continue to come up with treatments to keep my chihuahua alive with a good quality of life. They are the best at what they do and I can't recommend them highly enough! Suffice it to say if Jingles was suffering, I would not prolong this but she's very happy and playful and deserves a chance to live as long as she's not suffering. Very professional and well-organized veterinary clinic. The facility is clean and everything feels modern. Brought my dog here and the overall experience was really reassuring. The staff were patient and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made a big difference. You can tell they know what they’re doing, especially for more serious or specialized cases. Not the cheapest, but you’re paying for the expertise and level of care.

Brought in my 3 month old puppy , she was throwing up a lot throughout the day so I took her to ANIMAL ER in Cypress Tx and let’s just say they couldn’t figure it out. Soon as I brought her in they were able to figure out what she was sick from , they got straight to the point and they explained everything. Yes It’s pricey but worth EVERY PENNY! My baby was hospitalized for a few days and as today we were able to bring her home with NO ISSUES! The team is amazing very very sweet they are literally heaven sent

Took my dog here because his back legs are paralyzed. I visited the emergency room and we were seen quickly. I was The staff at the front desk were friendly, and they answered all my questions. The wait time after check in wasn't that long, and the facility is really clean, and spacious, so you can spread out if your pet is not dog or a cat friendly. The doctors and techs were very informative, and nice. Thank you so much for taking care of Snoopy!

They almost killed my Africa Grey Parrot. I came in because she wasn’t talking as she normally does nor dancing, and she stoped eating as much as she normally did. I was going to my normal vet that morning to get x ray because they thought something may be in her throat. But they told me they would have to send her to Gulf Coast if they had to operate. So I chose to just go to Gulf coast to do x ray and they could possibly do operation if needed. I was instructed not to feed her 12 hours prior to x rays. When I came to Gulf Coast they put her on oxygen. They didn’t want to x ray her because they said she may not survive the sedation. They suggested she had heart failure even through they couldn’t prove it and after saying her heart sounded fine. 🤷🏾‍♂️ I was there from 9 to 4 and they didn’t give her water nor food while she was in heat oxygen space. They told me that she looked like she was in distress and offered to give a dehydrated parrot Diarrhetic meds because they THOUGHT they felt fluid in her belly. They also suggested I put her to sleep because she is in a bad condition. They offered an estimate of almost $3000 for guessing what was wrong with her but said she probably wouldn’t make it and again offered to put her to sleep. They also suggested me leaving her with them in the heated oxygen overnight. They refused to give me the X-ray that I originally requested. I told them at that point to give my bird back. They made me wait two hours til I got irate and went to their door. When they gave her to me she was in worse shape than what I brought her in. She was at the bottom of her cage gasping for air. She couldn’t even stand on her perch. I rushed home and gave her some fruit and water. Within a hour she got strength back and was able to climb back up to her perch at the top of her cage. The next day I found another vet and he gave her some iv fluids and did a light sedative on her to do x ray. She did great. We are still trying to see why she isn’t as bouncy as she normally is, but she’s talking a lil more and is eating like a pig again. I wasted time and $300 and almost allowed them to kill my bird. I really need a refund for my parrot almost dying in their care. This is Cherry now. The bird they wanted to put to sleep.
